Donald Trump Files Lawsuit Against Dominican Republic Resort
Business mogul Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against a group of real estate developers in the Dominican Republic.
The Apprentice star has launched a $5.8 million legal battle against bosses at Cap Cana S.A. over allegations they failed to pay his firm, Trump Marks, licensing fees for using his name at their Trump at Capa Cana luxury resort.
The 66 year old, who filed the papers on Thursday, claims he has not received payment since 2009.
According to the New York Post, the lawsuit reads, "In or about May 2009, Cap Cana claimed that it had squandered the funds that it had received from buyers and lacked sufficient capital to pay Trump Marks any portion of the license fees which were admittedly owed months earlier."
