Soul legend Diana Ross has stunned fans by announcing a North American summer tour.

The "Upside Down" singer, who turns 66 later this month, has announced plans for a greatest hits tour, which begins with a concert in Boston, Massachusetts on May 15.

Ross will play 17 dates in a month, taking in New Jersey, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, among other cities.

Ross last toured in 2007, around the time when a scathing biography of her was released, claiming that she's very difficult and demanding and fires her staff members on a whim.
