Croatian Church Won't Allow 'Game Of Thrones' Crew To Film Pivotal Nude Scene (Spoilers)
UPDATE: the scene will go on as town officials in Dubrovnik have had a change of heart. They'll allow the shoot as long as it's not shot inside the Cathedral of St. Nicholas -- outside is okay, according to TMZ.
A church in Croatia is standing in the way of HBO's production on the fifth season of Game of Thrones over the filming of a nude scene.
SPOILERS: The series uses the town of Dubrovnik as the stand in for Westeros' capital city of King's Landing, and production has now come to a stand still becasue the Church of St. Nicholas won't allow actress Lena Headey to walk out of the church naked and into the streets, according to TMZ.com.
The country's film commission has refused to grand a permit to film the scene and now producers are scrambling to figure out what to do next.
The scene in question, in which Cersei Lannister (Headey) walks out of the church naked (we won't get into why), is pivotal to the production and something fans will most definitely be looking forward to seeing, so cutting it out all together is out of the question.
