Ethan and Joel Coen are slowly gathering a spectacular cast for their next film, Hail, Caesar!. Jonah Hill recently confirmed he's joined the project, and Scarlett Johansson is reportedly in negotiations.
According to Variety, the Coen brothers are working to cast the pregnant Johansson for the film, which is ironically about a 1950s actress who becomes pregnant just as her new film begins production. The movie will follow a "fixer" for the film studio who works to keep all of their stars out of trouble, and it sounds like this pregnant actress is the latest issue for him.
Hail, Caesar! So damn excited to get to work with the Coen Brothers!— Jonah Hill (@JonahHill) July 9, 2014
Should Scarlett sign on, she'll be joining a brilliant cast put together by the Coen brothers that includes Channing Tatum, Tilda Swinton, Ralph Fiennes, Josh Brolin, George Clooney, and the aforementioned Hill.
It certainly sounds like Joel and Ethan are looking to get back on the Academy Awards list of nominees, after their last effort, Inside Llewyn Davis, failed to impress Academy voters.
