Mad Men star Christina Hendricks is appealing to TV bosses to cast her in a small screen revamp of Wonder Woman because she has always wanted to play the sexy superhero.
Lynda Carter starred in The New Adventures of Wonder Woman, adapted from the classic DC Comic series, which aired from 1975 to 1979.
A 1990s remake was scrapped due to casting concerns over Carter's successor but Ally McBeal creator David E. Kelley has signed a deal with Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment bosses to write and produce a revamped version.
Casting details have yet to be announced but busty beauty Hendricks has already been linked to the lead - and the actress admits she'd love the speculation to come true.
She says, "I heard that rumor too - I don't know where it got started but I love it! I've been wanting to wear that outfit my whole life! I'd love to (do it). That would be such fun! Let's put it out there!"
