Christie Brinkley Rescues Sick Woman At Tony Awards
Christie Brinkley has been hailed a hero for helping a woman who fainted backstage at the Tony Awards.
The former supermodel, who is currently starring on Broadway in Chicago, arrived at the theatre prize-giving in New York before the ceremony to browse the gifting suite when the unnamed female who was escorting her passed out.
Brinkley rushed to help along with musician/actor Paul Shaffer, who gave the woman orange juice to boost her sugar levels, and the veteran beauty waited with her until paramedics arrived.
Brinkley was later rewarded for her good deed as she won a $35,000 watch in the gift suite, according to the New York Post's Page Six column.
