Chelsea Handler ripped into talk show host Piers Morgan during an appearance on his CNN show Tuesday night, calling him a "terrible interviewer."

The "Chelsea Lately" host, making the rounds to promote new book "Uganda Be Kidding Me," called out Morgan for tweeting to his fans during a commercial break instead of paying attention to her.

Morgan began to go into a discussion about her own Twitter followers, which she spun right back around on him.

"You tweet very amusingly," Morgan said, which quickly set her off.

"I wish you did," she replied, revealing that he had been messaging followers during the break. "You can't even pay attention for 60 seconds. You're a terrible interviewer."

"Well, you just weren't keeping my attention. It's more of an issue with you than me," Morgan shot back.

"That's not my problem...," Handler added. "This is your show, you have to pay attention to the guest you invited on your show."

Morgan says he wasn't paying attention because Handler wasn't "interesting enough," but Chelsea had the last stinging word, saying, "Listen, it doesn't matter how interesting I am, you signed up for this job... maybe that's why your job is coming to an end."

The comedienne was, of course, referring to the announcement made by CNN and Morgan that the show he took over from Larry King in 2011 would end in 2014 due to poor ratings.

The two stars have guested on each other's shows several times in the past, often butting heads.

"I think I just got my ass handed to me," Morgan tweeted after the show. "Thanks @chelseahandler."
