The Disney film "Frozen" has earned more than $1 billion at the global box office (holy smokes!), making it the highest-grossing animated film of all time. The film pocketed $393 million in the United States alone.

In the film, fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey-teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven-to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. The film features the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad.

The movie won "Best Animated Film" at the 86th Annual Academy Awards, and songwriting duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez won "Best Original Song" for "Let It Go."

The "Frozen" soundtrack also spent five weeks at number one on the Billboard charts.
