Chaka Khan burst into an impromptu performance with Stevie Wonder as she unveiled her Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Thursday.
The I'm Every Woman hit-maker was given the 2,440th plaque on a section of the Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, and her proud family was on hand to see the singer accept the honor.
Stevie Wonder also attended the ceremony and teamed up with his pal to treat the crowds to a rendition of her 1974 hit Tell Me Something Good. Speaking about the legendary singer, Wonder said, "We're all very excited for Chaka."
Khan also spoke of her pride at landing a star, declaring, "This is so fabulous. I am so honored... do I deserve this? All I'm doing is what I love to do. Singing is my sanity. That is the way I stay as balanced as I possibly can, if you want to call this a balance. The best thing that you can do is to do something that you love and believe in."
"This is a blessing. This is another jewel in a crown of many jewels that I wear spiritually."
