A godsend to comedy films, Cobb has menaced Chevy Chase in Fletch Lives (1985), Jim Varney in Ernest Goes to Jail (1990), Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1993), and Leslie Nielsen in Naked Gun 33 1/3 (1994).
