Maureen O Hara one of the last remaining superstars of the golden era is one of the screen's all time great beauties...a dazzler!

Leading Lady to great professionals such as Henry Fonda, James Stewart, Charles Laughton, Ty Power, Anthony Quinn, Jackie Gleason, Miss O Hara always gave fine workmanlike performances. Always a pro. Miss O Hara's greatest colloborations were with Director John Ford and co star John Wayne, and together they made the classic "The Quiet Man". A particular Ford-O Hara movie I like is the fine Columbia film "The Long Grey Line" with Tyrone Power. ( Maybe because I am ex Army). Miss O Hara was a life long friend of Lucille Ball whom she met at RKO and where Ball was second billed to O Hara in "Dance Girl Dance" ( This was before Miss Ball's ascension to Hollywood mega stardom)

Some of O Hara's great movies: Hunchback of Notre Dame, How Green Was My Valley, The Parent Trap, McClintock.

Troubling is Miss O Hara's recent commentary in her book "'Tis Herself" re her mentor John Ford's sexuality and her OUTING him, ( no one else ever suggested this, and I wonder if true), and his overall behavior to O Hara: reporting Her to US Customs and denying her an Oscar Nomination)

Maureen O Hara's last theatrical film was "Only the Lonely" splendid with John Candy and Anthony Quinn, which should have gotten her long sought after Oscar Nomination.

Maureen O Hara : One of the Greastest Beauties ever to grace the Silver Screen.
