Ann Margret is a great Actress. This lovely star burst onto the scene is sexy and energetic star turn in the movie "Bye Bye Birdie" and stole the Academy Award Show of 1962 by singing a blazingly hot version of "Bachelor In Paradise" that brought the audience to its feet with roaring approval. Ann Margret worked steadily, non stop in the 1960's making films at Columbia, MGM, 20th, Universal and Paramount. Some of her finer efforts were "Bus Riley's Back in Town", "The Cincinnati Kid", among many others. Stars Ann Margret worked with have been Claudette Colbert, Steve McQueen, Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino, John Wayne, Anthony Quinn, Glenn Ford, Bette Davis, Jack Lemmon, Glenda Jackson, Walter Matthau, Sophia Loren, Michael Parks, and her great friend Elvis Presley among many others. Directed by Mike Nichols, Frank Capra, and George Sidney et al Universally admied as a skilled actress, Ann Margret has receieved 2 Oscar nominations for splendid work in "Tommy" and "Carnal Knowledge", but her finest performances have been on TV in "Who Will Take My Children" where she was nominated for an Emmy for her heartfelt performance of a Mother dying of cancer who tries to place her Children with good Families before Her death, a performance that was praised by none other than Barbara Stanwyck.
