SANTA MONICA, CA - Revered by action connoisseurs the world over as one of the genre's quintessential artists, director John Woo (Face/Off, The Killer, M:I-2) elevated violence to an art form with masterful choreography and complex, multi-faceted anti-heroes.

On July 24, two of his legendary action classics - Hard Boiled and Last Hurrah For Chivalry - debut on DVD from The Weinstein Company and Genius Products under the revered Dragon Dynasty banner.

Famous for extraordinary action in legendary sequences such as the opening tea-house bust and the explosive warehouse betrayal, Hard Boiled also features a rampaging thirty-minute final showdown. Teaming international action icons Chow Yun-Fat (Pirates Of The Caribbean 3: At World's End, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and Tony Leung (Infernal Affairs, Hero), Hard Boiled maintains a deft balance between its stunning gunfights and its tortured emotional core.

Hearkening back to a Golden Age of epic martial arts cinema, the wuxia classic Last Hurrah For Chivalry showcases the director's eye for action, as well as the deeply emotional character motivations that would become a staple in his later films.

The definitive version of a true genre masterpiece, the Hard Boiled two-disc Ultimate Edition comes fully-loaded with special features - including interviews with director John Woo and producer Terence Chang, a Hard Boiled location guide, and more. The Last Hurrah For Chivalry DVD will feature interviews with stars Fung Hak-On and Lee Hoi-San, a weapons of China featurette, and more. Both will be available July 24.

In Hard Boiled a tough as nails cop teams with an undercover agent to shut down a sinister mobster and his crew.
