Broadway stars brought Times Square to a standstill on Friday afternoon for a performance of Big Apple anthem "New York, New York" to kickstart a weekend of 9/11 10th anniversary tributes.

Beloved thespians Joel Grey and Bebe Neuwirth and new Chicago star Kara Dioguardi were among the stars who hit the streets for the uplifting one-off performance, which featured the casts of "Book of Mormon," "Billy Elliott," and "Priscilla: Queen of the Desert."

In total, almost 100 Broadway actors and actresses took part in the song-and-dance number.
