Beyonce Covers 'Bang Bang' For HBO's 'On The Run' Special
Beyonce chose an interesting song to promote her upcoming "On The Run" tour special on HBO. The pop star sings Nancy Sinatra's "Bang Bang" in the 50-second teaser for the show, which airs Sept. 20 and also stars her husband Jay Z.
The theme of the song, which was originally penned by Sonny Bono and performed by Cher, is abusive relationships.
Beyonce, featured in a sequined dress with a veil, serenades her husband, singing: "Bang bang, he shot me down/ Bang bang, I hit the ground/ Bang bang, that awful sound/ Bang bang, my baby shot me down."
The rest of the trailer shows various high-energy clips from their tour. The special will specifically feature performances from their upcoming tour dates in Paris, France.
The power couple has been dodging split rumors for the past several months. In July allegations surfaced that the rapper cheated on the pop star. Several sources claim the pair will break up after they complete their tour.
Their North American tour grossed a staggering $100 million in ticket sales.
