Ariana Grande was devastated by her grandfather's death earlier this week and then had to watch her brother Frankie learn about his passing during a live episode of "Big Brother."
The pop star mentioned his death on Monday, tweeting: "I lost you to the summer wind."
She then traveled to New York City on Wednesday to appear on "Good Morning America" but will still mourning the death of "grandps," who taught her to "always be professional."
She tweeted: "only reason I made this twelve hour trip is grandps told me he wanted me to always be professional & fulfill my business commitments :("
She followed this up with:

Meanwhile, her brother Frankie learned of his grandfather's passing during a live episode of "Big Brother." The Grandes sent him a letter because they were unable to tell him the news in person.
Ariana tweeted: "Watching @frankiejgrande talk abt grandps after reading our letter on the live feed. Sobbing / laughing hysterically. love u frankie so much."
