Aretha Franklin is set to open up about the health troubles that led to her hospitalization in an exclusive interview with TV presenter Wendy Williams.
The Queen of Soul sparked fears for her health when a mystery illness prompted her to scrap a series of end-of-year shows in 2010. The singer, who underwent surgery to treat the ailment in December, recently dismissed reports she had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and insisted in January the condition had been resolved.
However, the Respect hit-maker is now ready to reveal all - she has granted her first big post-surgery interview to bubbly Williams, inviting the TV host to her Detroit, Michigan home for high tea.
The chat will take place later this week and air on The Wendy Williams Show shortly afterwards.
Meanwhile, Franklin will make her live comeback at the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel in Buffalo, New York on May 28th, before performing a three-night stand from June 3rd to 5th at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.
