Actress Annalynne McCord has thanked her Twitter.com fans for their support after her favored charity won a $250,000 grant to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.
The 90210 star is a long-term supporter of the St. Bernard Project, which provides relief for survivors of the 2005 natural disaster.
They desperately needed funds to build a wellbeing center in the Louisiana city, and McCord entered them into a Pepsi Refresh Celebrity Challenge for a $250,000 prize. And she was delighted to discover on Thursday that they had triumphed in the vote.
In a post on her Twitter page, she writes, "WE WON!!!! WE WON!! THANK YOU PEPSI REFRESH!!! @SIMONHUCK I LOVE YOU!! @stbernardproj Won $250k thks to all of you amazing ppl (people) voting!"
