In October, the "New Girl" star split from Death Cab For Cutie singer Ben Gibbard, and she filed for divorce in December, citing "irreconcilable differences" for ending her two-year marriage.
A source tells UsMagazine.com, "Jamie's a really nice guy. He's funny, and a little geeky... He's into her!"
Earlier this year Deschanel admitted she wasn't ready to date yet. She told Marie Claire magazine, "Honestly, I'm just going through a divorce, so I don't really think (dating) is something I want to get into now... I don't have time to date. I literally don't have time."
