Several high-ranking military officers -- Vietnam veterans all -- are killed by an elusive assassin. According to witnesses, the killer seems to possess the ability to appear and disappear at will. Put on the case, Mulder and Scully conclude that the murderer is former Green Beret Nathaniel Teager (Peter Lacroix) -- who was reported killed in action nearly three decades earlier.
