A migrant worker camp in California's San Joaquin Valley is pelted by a deadly rain which claims the life of a female laborer. When more deaths occur, the migrants attribute the tragedies to a mythological creature known as the Chupacabra. Mulder and Scully arrive on the scene to get to the truth of the matter -- which seems to be manifested in a "rogue enzyme."
