CBS Announces 2007-2008 Premiere Dates

CBS today announced plans for the premieres of its new and returning series which includes the early debut of its freshman reality series "Kid Nation," as well as "Survivor: China" and most of its Sunday lineup during the week of Sept. 17. The Network will launch the remainder of its schedule beginning Monday, Sept. 24, the official start of the 2007-2008 season.

CBS's new reality series "Kid Nation" premieres Wednesday, Sept. 19 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) followed the next night with the debut of "Survivor: China," Thursday, Sept. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT).

CBS in May will feature the unpredictable finales of the Network's hit series along with a royal farewell to The King of Queens when the comedy ends its nine-year, 200-plus episode run with a special one-hour finale.

Networks Announce Sweeps Schedule for Nov. 1-29

During "sweeps," Nielsen Media Research sends out diaries to sample homes across the country so TV viewers can record the shows they watched. Laura Mackenzie, an 18-year-old woman missing for five months, was located yesterday in St. Augustine Beach, Fla. after she was seen by a man who said he recognized her from a Public Service Announcement (PSA) featuring Mackenzie during the June 1 broadcast of the CBS drama Without A Trace.

Mackenzie, who is from Goffstown, N.H., disappeared on March 8, the day she was scheduled to face shoplifting charges in Manchester, N.H. District Court. The houseguests of Big Brother: All-Stars have a new home on Sundays, one of several summer scheduling changes announced yesterday by CBS. Kidnapped Toddler Found Due to 'Without A Trace' Profile

An 18-month-old girl was located on April 12 in Tarrant, Ala., as a direct result from viewer tips after she was profiled as a missing person during the March 9 broadcast of the CBS drama Without A Trace. The missing girl, Anisa Jackson, was also featured on "The Early Show" on March 10.

The recovery of Jackson and the arrest of her parental kidnapper, Phillip Jerome Jackson, 26, who disappeared with the child on Dec. 20, 2005, was announced by Carmen S. Adams, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI in Birmingham, Ala.
