Home Rooms
Royce loses his lead in the polls, so he goes to extreme measures to stall Carcetti's momentum. Both Omar and Greggs put a re-up bodega under surveillance.
Refugees
Freamon and Greggs move to the Homicide unit. Cutty gets a job at Tilghman school. Bubbles gives Sherrod an ultimatum to get back in school.
Know Your Place
Poot returns from prison. Carcetti gives Daniels a promotion. Prez is annoyed with having to incorporate training for standardized tests into his lesson plans, while Colvin gets his study group to work hard to earn a dinner. Bubbles helps Herc with a witness.
Margin Of Error
The mayoral candidates attend Sunday services. Marlo and Chris know about the wire tap and stage a phone call for it. Greggs wants to use the information Norris relays to her from the jailhouse snitch to make the news before the election.
Soft Eyes
Pearlman puts her career at stake and helps Freamon and Sydnor with subpoena ammunition for the forthcoming elections. Carcetti drops a bombshell aimed at Royce on live TV debate. Herc's cushy job turns into a nightmare when she makes a shocking discovery about the Mayor. Namond gets some advice from his father, Wee-Bey. Marlo helps the neighborhood kids with their school assignment. Bubbles brings a new apprentice into his mobile-business; Cutty juggles his eyes Michael as a future pupil.
Misgivings
Burrell tries to improve his reputation by ordering the department to double the amount of arrests. Davis is also advicing Carcetti. School officials crack down on Prez and Colvin. Herc betrays Bubbles again, so Bubbles turns to a local minister.
That's Got This Own
Chris and Snoop chase Michael Lee and Michael opens fire on them, but it turns out to be only paint--it was just a test. Landsman and Freamon investigate Lex's death. Mayor Carcetti is upset over the school deficit. Omar and Renaldo go with Cheese to meet with Marlo. Carcetti and Wilson go to the statehouse to visit the Governor. Prez goes to the assistant Principal to make a plea for Dukie. The teachers try to get the kids to focus on the upcoming state tests. Freamon goes to visit Col. Daniels and Rhonda Pearlman about the bodies and discovers that Landsman hasn't mentioned them. The Major Crimes squad reports to Freamon about what they've got on Marlo. The Mayor has to decide whether or not to take the state money for the school and turn over some control to the state.
Corner Boys
Herc retrieves his camera. Chris teaches Snoop how to find and dispose of infiltrators. Prez tries to figure out how to work the new test prep material into his curriculum. Daniels gets on the Mayor's good side, while Burrell's suspicions are confirmed.
Final Grades
Bubbles tries to commit suicide, but Norris and Landsman find him before he dies. Bubbles explains that he did it because he felt guilty about Sherrod. A group from the New Day Co-op meets with Proposition Joe and Slim about the price of the packages, they all agree Joe needs to fix it. Omar decides to sell back the extra drugs that he took from Proposition Joe. Dennis "Cutty" is in the hospital and a nurse gives him a hard time because he doesn't have any insurance. L'il Kevin's body is found. Mayor Carcetti worries about the body counts and tries to figure out what to do about the school problem. The detectives make progress on the murder cases. Carver advocates for Randy. Carcetti doesn't take the state's money for the schools. McNulty grabs Poot when no one is around and tries to find out who killed Bodie. Prez is surprised and pleased with the good preliminary state exam results from his class.
A New Day
The mayor reverses Burrell's mass arrest mandate. Michael gets revenge on Officer Walker. Pearlman and Daniels change things up in the homicide department, including bringing back the Major Crimes division. Prez is upset about Randy, but finds out that Herc was not responsible for putting Randy in danger.
Boys of Summer
Snoop pores over nail guns at a suburban home improvement superstore, and is quickly educated by a middle-aged sales assistant as to the finer points of the power tools. Despite some cultural differences, she emerges from the store with the Cadillac of nail guns ("He mean Lexus, but he ain't know it," Snoop later assures Chris Partlow) having tipped the salesman generously for giving her a proper schooling.
Alliances
Valchek leaks information to Carcetti about the Braddock case. Attorney Rhonda Pearlman is not happy about the wiretap. Marlo wants to get rid of Omar.
