The Second Season Finale
Holly gets the internship she wanted in Paris, but soon realizes she must make a decision about who she wants to be with, Henry or Vince. After trying to get over Rick's wedding by making a failed attempt at a vacation with Lauren, Val soon learns, from Rick himself, that he is single again. Meanwhile, Tina and Gary begin to grow more attracted to one another.
Regarding Henry
Holly secretly confesses to Val that she likes Vince, but when Henry overhears their conversation, he takes off and Holly canvases the city to find him. Making matters more complicated, Vince finds out about Holly's conversation as well.
When Holly Met Tina
Holly helps Val woo her first client at her startup public relations firm by befriending the client's daughter. Meanwhile, Lauren distracts Peter, who is also after the same client.
Val and Holly's 'Not-Boyfriends'
Holly goes upstate to console Vince on the loss of his grandfather, but she gets the wrong impression about his genuinely moved sentiment. Meanwhile, Val begins to see Rick in a positive new light when he has an epiphany after a near-death experience.
The Odd Couple
When Henry temporarily takes up residence at Vince's place, Holly is torn more than ever as to which of the two guys she likes, but Holly's jealousy over Tina's flirtation with Vince causes her to determine how much she really likes Vince. Meanwhile, Val takes up speed dating, at Lauren's suggestion, to forget about Peter.
The Big Picture
Holly starts to think she made a mistake ending her romance with Henry when he drops everything to help her apply for a possible internship in Paris. Meanwhile, Val is stunned when Rick's fiancee meets her and decides that Rick should drop all communication with her.

Holly and Vince argue over the best way to prepare Gary's birthday party, but their plans are quickly disrupted by the reemergence of Gary's ex-girlfriend.

Holly and Val look for a new apartment and new office space when finances become tight, and Holly coaxes a wealthy man to let them use his loft while he is locked up in prison.

When Holly is overwhelmed by school and work, she finds it hard to support Henry during a time of need. Meanwhile, Val quits her job after becoming fed up with the increasing "boys' club" attitude at work.

Holly tries to get Henry over his jealous feelings toward Vince, an older colleague of Val's, but in the process ends up telling him that she's in love with him. Meanwhile, Val finds herself attracted to her good-looking new boss, Peter.

Holly blows an interview with an admissions person at Columbia University and solicits help from Val on how to ace a second one.

Holly's plans to spend the weekend skiing are hampered when Tina splits with her boyfriend and Holly must decide whether she's going to comfort her friend or go on the trip and spend time with Henry. Meanwhile, Val tries to help Lauren land the new man she's interested in, only Lauren is crushed when he ends up falling for Val.
The Anti-Prom
Holly throws an "anti-prom" at home after deciding not to worry about having to choose between Vince or Henry, as well as not thinking about the possible internship in Paris. Meanwhile, Val receives an invitation to Rick's wedding and begins to think he sent it in error.
Absence Makes the Heart Grow...
Val discovers Peter is staying in a hotel right next to hers while on a business trip. Meanwhile, Holly discovers she actually has feelings for Vince.
The Incredible Shrinking Group
Holly puts a strain on her friendship with Gary when she weasels him into getting her a one-on-one with Henry, who is not on speaking terms with her. Meanwhile, Val sugests that she and Lauren give up sugar, but the temptation proves too great for her.
