In the final episode of The Waltons' fourth season, John-Boy (Richard Thomas) has begun turning out copies of his own newspaper, "The Blue Ridge Chronicle." But wealthy, idealistic Selina Linville (Kathleen Quinlan) feels that John-Boy could do more good for Humanity by closing down the paper and becoming a news correspondent in the Spanish Civil War.
