Kat Robichaud On Kickstarter And Her Respect For 'The Voice'
Kat Robichaud impressed us during Season 5 of The Voice with both her hard rocking on stage and her straight talk off of it. BFTV spoke to Kat on Monday about her Kickstarter campaign for a post-show album, and what she really wanted to say about her time on the show.

"The pacing of life is so different," she said of transitioning out of reality TV. "When you're on the show, you're constantly busy. There's constantly something to look forward to. Then you get eliminated, and you go home, and everything is going just as it should go. But it's not as fast-paced as the show, so you feel like ...

Nicholas has racked up plenty of travel miles since the June release of his EP, touring with the Avett Brothers on the West Coast, then visiting the East Coast and Texas. With successful shows b...

The Jamaican native, 28, was crowned the champion of the talent competition earlier this week (16Dec13) and she was in the middle of a press appearance on Access Hollywood Live on Thursday (19Dec13) when producers received a phone call from her former boss.

December 12th, 2013 12:09pm EST
The Voice
The Internet is abuzz with the news that The Voice has announced its Season 5 finalists, but that's not all that's happening this week. We had several former competitors return to the show, a few more drop by just to say hello, and Blake Shelton crashed someone else's Christmas special again this year.

On Tuesday, four acts from The Voice's past two seasons came back to promote their new music, and we found out what they've been up to. Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope performed the next single from her recent album, and discovered that the album has gone gold.

'The Voice' News Roundup: Blake Shelton, Tony Lucca, Nicholas David, Michelle Chamuel

December 5th, 2013 2:07pm EST
Blake Shelton
This week's The Voice news roundup is fitting for the holidays. We've got talk of cooking, a lot of giving, quite a few happy returns by some of your favorite artists, and even Santa Claus. Here's the latest news and notes from around The Voice universe:

When Carson Daly asked Blake Shelton and Adam Levine if they were cooking for Thanksgiving, we might've floated the idea of a Blake and Adam cooking show. And after you favorited and retweeted that on Twitter, we might've asked Blake about it. His response was typical hilarious Blake Shelton.

"If you want to make a cooking show that invol...

Carson Daly: 'The Voice's' Master Of Ceremonies

November 25th, 2013 12:10pm EST
Carson Daly
With all the attention we give to The Voice's coaches, it's important not to overlook the person who keeps the show on course: host and producer Carson Daly.

Quite simply, the show wouldn't be the same without Carson, who reminds us on a weekly basis that hosting is a whole lot more than reading off a TelePrompter into a microphone. It's his job to keep the show on target and on time, no matter what. We're not just talking when one of the coaches goes off on a tangent during their comments; this is the guy who steered the ship during triple-digit heat with no air conditioning.

And it's Ca...

Shakira and R&B hunk Usher served as replacements f...

'The Voice' Predictions: Who Will Miss The Top 10?

November 12th, 2013 9:11am EST
The Voice
After a night of solid performances on The Voice, tonight America will narrow down the Top 12 to the Top 10. Which two artists will get the axe? We give you our predictions below.

[SPOILER ALERT: If you're not caught up with last night's Top 12 Performances episode of The Voice, stop reading now. This article will contain spoilers.]

What makes tonight's elimination difficult is that no one in the Top 12 necessarily deserves to go home. No one gave a poor performance or made any significant mistakes. In the absence of any glaring flaws, the vote is likely to come down to which artists conn...

'The Voice' Results: Who Are The Top 12?

November 8th, 2013 9:06am EST
The Voice
NBC is stretching The Voice to three nights during the first live week again this season, giving us an entire hour on Thursday night to reveal which eight artists won't make it into the Top 12.

Here's how it goes: of the five singers currently on each team, two advance to next week based on the results of America's vote. A third will be saved by their coach. The unlucky pair remaining are sent packing. And since we've got to fill an entire hour and we only have four teams, there's some filler in there, too.

That comes in the form of Season 5's first group performances. Team Blake comes to...

'The Voice' Live Playoff: Team Cee Lo vs. Team Christina

November 6th, 2013 8:35am EST
The Voice
After Team Adam and Team Blake sung for your vote on Monday night, Tuesday night it's Team Cee Lo and Team Christina who are center stage on The Voice.

If you didn't see enough of Christina performing last night, she's added to the guest performance tonight as well. After that's out of the way, Team Cee Lo's Amber Nicole is performing Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope's lead single, "Wasting All These Tears." It's the first time a Voice artist has performed a song by a show alumni (coaches excluded), and like many things Cee Lo does, it's eyebrow-arching. It hasn't been that long since we firs...

Cee Lo Green has been cleared of sexual assault charges after he allegedly slipped ecstasy into a woman's drink at a restaurant, but still faces felony drug charges.

The charges stem from a year ago when Green and a woman ate at a downtown L.A. sushi restaurant. It's there that she claims he slipped the drug into her drink. She told cops she doesn't remember anything afterward, but woke up in his bed nude.

Green denied the story and encouraged law enforcement to investigate the claims. TMZ reports the District Attorney will formally drop the sexual assault charge, but is still considering...

The biggest surprise in Season 4 of The Voice was Amber Carrington, who started the show as an aspiring country artist and rose to become an amazing all-around performer under the guidance of coach Adam Levine. BFTV recently caught up with Amber to talk about how her career and life have been after finishing in The Voice's top five.

"I got more than I ever imagined from The Voice," she told us. "I learned so much about myself as not only an artist but as a person and I grew incredible amoun...

It's time for The Voice to go to battle. We're now into the second of four phases of competition, where the Top 48 go head-to-head to remain on their respective teams - while eight lucky folks who lose their respective vocal skirmishes will be "stolen" by another coach and continue in the competition. Let's get fighting...musically, of course.

'The Voice' News Roundup: Reviewing Cassadee Pope's New Album

October 11th, 2013 2:15pm EDT
Cassadee Pope
News and notes from around The Voice universe:

Cassadee Pope's first post-show album, Frame By Frame, was released Tuesday. Most of it you're probably familiar with, as "Wasting All These Tears," "You Hear A Song," "11," "Good Times" and "Champagne" were put out as singles beforehand - meaning that die-hard Voice fans have already heard about half of the eleven-song record. Since you've already had the opportunity to listen to those cuts, let's talk about the previously unreleased material.

Frame by Frame completes Cassadee's transition from pop-punk rocker back to country singer, and she...

2013 Fall TV Season: What Will Be The Second Cancellation?

October 8th, 2013 6:00pm EDT
NBC- The Voice is still doing good numbers on Monday/Tuesday. The Blacklist is winning its timeslot, and was the first show (technically) to be rewarded with a back-nine pickup. Chicago Fire is also doing solid numbers on Tuesday. Revolution needs to regain some audience members if it wants a second season. With the success of The Blacklist, and Chicago Fire doing OK, Revolution is looking to be one of NBC’s weaker points right now. I can’t see it not running the full second season, but it might not get a third. Also, Ironside is definitely going to get cancelled. The premiere was so low, a...

Jamar Rogers Releases New Single 'Drink Of You'

October 8th, 2013 2:15pm EDT
Jamar Rogers
One of our favorite The Voice artists, Jamar Rogers, has a brand-new single out today called "Drink Of You." Ever the gentleman, Jamar also recently took a few minutes to give BFTV an update on where he is since being a semifinalist in Season 2 of the show, and if he still keeps up with his colleagues.

Most importantly, we can report that this talented singer has finally scored a record deal! "I signed to Tommy Boy Records, which was like a labor of love trying to finally get a record label to take me seriously," he told us. "They were really big in the 90's, and now they are rebuilding th...

'The Voice' Recap: Who Earned The Last Spots In Auditions

October 8th, 2013 8:35am EDT
The Voice
Auditions are getting down to the wire on The Voice. Our coaches have almost completely filled their rosters, with Adam and Blake each only able to select 2 more singers, Cee Lo needing 3 more, and Christina only having 1 more spot to give. That's 9 opportunities left for a whole lot more than 9 hopeful performers. How tough is tonight's final audition round going to be?

Starting us off is another returning performer, 20-year-old Matt Cermanski, who has learned not to sing a Katy Perry song. This time, Matt's got his guitar in hand for "Have A Little Faith In Me." He gets a better result, ...

Fall 2013 TV Report (So Far)

October 5th, 2013 2:06pm EDT
Sleepy Hollow
Here’s how the Fall TV season has been shaping up.

ABC doesn’t have a lot to celebrate about. Once Upon A Time and Revenge are both down season-to-season, yet up from last season’s finales. So, really, you could say they are even for the night. Their new drama, Betrayal, however is a disappointment. Low ratings. Does ABC have anything ready to replace Betrayal though? They’re already definitely going to cancel the much lower rated Lucky 7 (an almost certainty), can they afford to axe two shows?

CBS has a nice strong lineup of returning shows, all performing well. FOX’s shows are ...
