'The Voice': Meet Team Blake's Holly Tucker
Blake Shelton has his dream team on The Voice this season: a final three loaded completely with country artists. BFTV recently caught up with one of those artists, Baylor marching band star Holly Tucker, to get to know her better.
"I always expected big things because I've seen the show on TV and it just looks larger than life," Holly said of her Voice experience so far. "That's exactly what I got and more."
Speaking of big things, America has watched Holly blow the doors off the Voice studio with her powerful performances of LeAnn Rimes' "How Do I Live" and Martina McBride's "Broken Wing...

Colombian singer Shakira is stepping down from her role as a mentor on reality TV show The Voice to concentrate on motherhood.
The new mom, who welcomed son Milan with boyfriend Gerard Pique in January, replaced Christina Aguilera in the judge's chair earlier this year and now she has confirmed she'll be leaving the competition series after just one season to focus on her parenting duties and the completion of her eighth studio album.

Shakira Leaving 'The Voice,' Christina Aguilera Returning
Shakira will be leaving music talent competition The Voice after one year at the judges' table to take care of her 4-month-old son, Milan Pique Mebarak - and a familiar face could be replacing her.
"I was so happy to do 'The Voice' but at the same time, I was really struggling with the fact I had to leave my nest with my little baby," Shakira told Access Hollywood.
Shakira joined The Voice this season along with Usher, to replace departing judges Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera. The departing judges cited ongoing projects taking up too much time to be a part of the show. Producer Mark...

'The Voice' Recap: Did Song Choice Eliminate Another Artist?
The second week of live playoffs on The Voice was just as crazy as the one before it - but at the end, it came down to one of the most important things in the singing competition: song choice.
Monday's Top 12 performance show had more than a few eyebrow-raising moments. A heat wave knocked out the Los Angeles studio's air conditioning, forcing everyone to sweat their way through half the show until it could be repaired. At one point, host Carson Daly found out that if the temperature rose too high, the lights could go out. "That'll be fun for America," he quipped.

Christina Aguilera Returning To 'The Voice' This Fall
Christina Aguilera is set to return to her red mentor's chair on The Voice for the show's fifth season.
The "Genie In A Bottle" singer and fellow judge Cee Lo Green both left the show after its third season last fall to spend time working on other projects -- Christina toured to promote her latest album "Lotus" while Cee Lo worked on new album "Girl Power."
Both stars are expected to return, with Cee Lo in "advanced negotiations" and Aguilera having already inked a new deal for $12.5 million, according to The Wrap. In fact, Christina could potentially make well over that depending on how ...

'The Voice' Admits 'Inconsistencies' In First-Round Playoff Voting
Host Carson Daly opened Wednesday's The Voice results show by announcing that there had been "inconsistencies" found during the first round of live playoff voting, but assured fans that the situation did not affect the outcome.
Daly brought on stage Jason George, the CEO of Telescope - the company which oversees voting for not only The Voice, but other reality competitions as well. Daly then revealed, "We noticed some inconsistencies in this week's texting and online voting."

'The Voice' Recap: Team Blake And Team Shakira Face Off In More Live Playoffs
After Team Adam and Team Usher performed on last night's The Voice, it's time for Team Blake and Team Shakira. Blake is overjoyed that he has a team of all country artists, restating his dream of bringing a country artist to the grand finale. Shakira, on the other hand, is nervous and comparing herself to a mama bird. Usher and Adam are asked to reflect on how their teams did the night before, and dole out the usual amount of praise, as if Carson expects that one of them is going to go on live television and say something negative about their artists.

'The Voice' Recap: Team Adam's Ladies Impress In First Live Playoff Show
Starting The Voice live shows - and first to sing for your vote - are Team Adam and Team Usher. Fans know that anything can happen during live playoffs, especially on the first night. So how did the introductory chapter of season four go?
First of all, Team Usher has their own labeled sweatshirts. Their coach has brought them to the gym in order to get them in gear for their first group performance, which surprises Josiah, who didn't expect to be working out for a singing competition. He finds out that singing and exercising simultaneously is difficult. Carson makes a slightly corny Floyd...

'The Voice' Recap: Team Blake and Team Usher Select Their Final Four
Team Blake and Team Usher, it's your turn! After Team Adam and Team Shakira had their ranks thinned last night on The Voice, now it's time to see who's left standing from the other two squads.
It's Team Blake that goes first, and Blake pairs up early favorite Savannah Berry with the guy who shocked us all in battles, Justin Rivers. This could potentially be disaster for him, as both these artists are not to be trifled with. Savannah decides to sing Justin Bieber's "As Long As You Love Me." Blake wonders if Savannah could be his Justin Bieber. Um, what? Justin picks "The Climb" by Miley Cyr...

'The Voice' Recap: Team Adam and Team Shakira Pick Their Final Four
It's now time for knockout rounds on The Voice: that last step before live shows, where 32 hopefuls will be narrowed down to the 16 artists who will represent the four teams for America's vote. The first two rosters to get cleaved in half are Team Adam and Team Shakira.
Team Adam begins the night, with Adam assigning Amber Carrington to face off against Midas Whale. The knockouts allow the artists to choose their own music, and Amber selects Avril Lavigne's "I'm With You" for her performance, which Adam approves of. He's well aware of just how surprising she can be. The quirky dudes known ...

Tony Lucca announced on Monday a slate of new tour dates that will have the talented singer-songwriter on the road from late July to mid-August.
Lucca, who was the finalist for Team Adam on season two of NBC's The Voice, subsequently signed with coach Adam Levine's 222 Records and is currently preparing his first post-show album.
It's not the first big move for Lucca, who's been working hard since his time on national TV ended. He previously embarked upon the nationwide "Chapter Two" tour last fall, released a new music video for his song "Like Love" in November, and returned to The Voice...

'The Voice': Meet Team Adam's Sarah Simmons, Amber Carrington and Amy Whitcomb
On The Voice, Team Adam has established itself as the team to beat. Before they head into knockout rounds, BFTV caught up with three of Adam's strong female artists - the phenomenal Sarah Simmons (pictured), surprising Amber Carrington and not-as-yet-unleashed Amy Whitcomb - to get to know them a little bit better.
Sarah told us that her four-chair blind audition "just completely wrecked my soul in a beautiful way. It was deeply humbling, overwhelming, and I know I'm only 23, but it's been a hard life for me in ways growing up, and [I] just can't believe this is happening. [I'm] blown away...

TV Ratings: 'The Voice' Is Loud And Clear
As if it weren’t obvious enough, ‘American Idol’ has been officially dethroned. For the first time, NBC’s ‘The Voice’ was the number one show last week (and number two, too), while ‘American Idol’ had to settle for 5th and 7th place, respectively. The Thursday edition was even clobbered in the 18-49 demo by a ‘Big Bang Theory’ rerun.
Otherwise, it was business as usual in a quiet week. With lots of reruns, shows like ‘Dancing With the Stars’ dominated the Top 5. CBS had shows peppered through the Top 20, including ‘The Good Wife,’ ‘Person of Interest,’ ‘Survivor’ and both versions of ‘NCIS...

'The Voice' Recap: Usher's Final Steal Goes To Team Shakira
Can you believe we're halfway through The Voice already? After tonight, only knockout rounds and live shows remain. But first, it's time for some more abbreviated battles.
Team Shakira leads off the night, teaming up Brandon Roush with Shawna P in a battle of youth versus experience. Shakira has selected the Janis Joplin hit "Piece of My Heart," and she and advisor Joel Madden meet the pair, who were somewhat expecting to compete against each other. Shakira's looking for the artist who most connects with the sentiment in the song, which seems at first like it might be easier for Shawna, bu...

'The Voice' Recap: Blake And Adam Finish Stealing While Usher Starts
It's time for the second half of battles on The Voice, with plenty of strong artists left to perform and four steals still to be had.
The first matchup of Monday night comes from Team Usher: it's his final pick, Jessica Childress, versus Vedo. Usher has chosen the Bruno Mars hit "Locked Out of Heaven" for them, the choice of which makes Jessica "a little bit apprehensive," especially when she hears Vedo. However, advisor Pharrell Williams tells Jessica he thinks she's wrong about her range, which bolsters her confidence. In second rehearsal, it's Vedo who's impressed by what Jessica can do...

Cee Lo Green Confirms He's Returning To 'The Voice' For Season Five
After a successful residency in Las Vegas, Cee Lo Green has confirmed he'll be returning as a mentor on "The Voice."
The singer took a hiatus from the singing competition this season to focus on his music career and his Sin City spectacular at Planet Hollywood. Green hopes to extend his residency and return to "The Voice" at the same time.
He explained, "It was a seven-week run at Planet Hollywood and it was a success and it went so well that they've already offered to extend the stay, so we may come later on in the year, like October. But I start back for season five for The Voice in Jun...

TV Ratings: Basketball Gold For CBS; HBO's 'Veep' Returns Strong
Once again, CBS was dominant in the ratings race, landing 13 of the Top 20 shows last week. It didn’t hurt that it broadcast the NCAA championship game, which yielded 23.43 million viewers as the week’s top program. Otherwise, ‘NCIS’ and its spinoff ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ were typically terrific. Other shows from CBS in the Top 20 included ’60 Minutes,’ ‘The Good Wife’ and ‘The Big Bang Theory.’ The impressive part? Some of those were reruns.

'The Voice' Recap: Judith Hill And Karina Iglesias Rule The Night
It's time for The Voice to go to battle: head-to-head competition, the button-slamming steals, spotting Paul Mirkovich everywhere, and those graphics that make things look like Street Fighter. Anything can happen in the battle rounds - last season, although Amanda Brown lost her battle as a member of Team Cee Lo, she was stolen by Adam Levine and ended up making it all the way to the top six. No wonder why Blake calls this "the scariest part of the show."

'The Voice' Recap: Who Fills The Four Final Spots?
Here it is: one last night of The Voice blind auditions, and only four spots - one per team - left in season four. Who will make the final cut?

'The Voice' Recap: Adam Scores Another Country Artist, Another Four-Chair Singer
There's a lot going on in tonight's fifth volume of The Voice blind auditions! The coaches have just 16 spots left on their four teams, and Adam Levine is about to be honored with a new award that he can soon produce any time Blake "just happens" to find his CMAs or ACMs or whatever else he has. Not to be outdone, Blake's officiating Kelly Clarkson's wedding, even as Kelly is about to tour with Maroon 5. It never ends with these coaches!

'The Voice' Finalist Vicci Martinez Debuts 'Come Along' Music Video
Vicci Martinez is still enjoying a newfound career success almost two years after she was a finalist on the first season of The Voice. Though the Seattle native was a talented musician well before the NBC series came into her life, the TV show vaulted her into the national spotlight, and Vicci has made the most of it. Universal Music Group, the record label affiliated with The Voice, offered her a deal after the show. She subsequently released her self-titled album, and now you can see the music video for the album's first single, "Come Along."

'The Voice' Recap: A Last-Second Save For One Artist
The rosters are halfway full as we finish the second week of The Voice. Adam has 6 of his 12 artists, Blake 5 of 12, Shakira 7 of 12 and Usher 6 of 12. This has traditionally been the time when the coaches start to get more choosy, guarding their rosters so that they're not out of the game when someone fantastic comes along. Is that shift going to happen tonight?

While The Voice is going full steam ahead, one of BFTV's very first favorites from the series is moving forward in his career as well. Tim Mahoney - the season one member of Team Adam that Adam Levine infamously thought was a woman when listening to his blind audition - not only has a new album out, but is broadening his teaching career, too. TV Ratings: CBS Carries The Week
CBS was tops in the ratings last week, thanks mostly to its most-watched program, ‘NCIS,’ which nabbed more than 19 million viewers and the number one slot. The Eye Network also had three of the top six programs, including ‘NCIS: Los Angeles.’ ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and other hits were in repeats.
