Raven-Symoné Defends Univision Host Over Michelle Obama 'Planet Of The Apes' Comparison

March 18th, 2015 2:47pm EDT
Actress Raven-Symone has been sitting in with the ladies of The View this week, and on Tuesday she made some comments on a recent story about Univision TV host Rodner Figueroa's firing over likening Michelle Obama to an ape.

Raven's opinion on the matter wasn't exactly well-received though, especially by show regular Rosie Perez.

"A lot of Latin people recognize the fact that we do have African blood in us," Perez said. "A lot of them do not want to recognize that fact, and that's where this stems from. There is a secret in the Latin community, specifically the Caribbean, South American, ...

'The View' Host Whoopi Goldberg TEARS Into Giuliana Rancic - 'Sh
Man, Giuliana Rancic is being dragged over the coals for this Zendaya thing. The Oscars were last weekend, and people are still talking about it.

And the latest source of Giuliana Rancic fever is "The View," where the show's stars debated her remarks, and Whoopi Goldberg laid out some harsh truths.

"She's not Joan Rivers," Goldberg stated bluntly. "Unless you know how to make jokes, don't do it."

"Giuliana is a newbie. She is not a stand-up. We don't know her as a funny person. And so the joke doesn't sound like a joke."

"I have had dreads for 40 years, and never have I smelled like pat...

Rosie Perez Isn't Leaving 'The View'

January 16th, 2015 8:48am EST
Rosie Perez
Rosie O'Donnell has shrugged off reports that her co-host Rosie Perez is permanently leaving "The View."

Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Perez was quitting the daytime talk show after just four months because she was focusing on her Broadway play "Fish in the Dark."

On Thursday, O'Donnell told the audience that Perez was just taking a hiatus.

She explained: "No matter what you read anywhere, Rosie Perez is coming back after she is done rehearsing her play. Her play... opens soon and then she will back here soon at her job regardless of what you hear on other shows or read in mag...

Is Rosie Perez Leaving 'The View'?
Rosie Perez has only been a part of "The View" for four short months, but it looks like four months was enough. Perez is leaving "The View," Variety reports.

Apparently, she was having difficulties adjusting to the show (which switches between soft daytime TV stuff and hard news- remember that whole Rosie O'Donnell Iraq War thing?).

Perez reportedly also couldn't handle reading off the teleprompter.

You can't even find Perez on "The View" right now- she's taken January, off, to star alongside Larry David in "Fish in the Dark," a Broadway play also written by David.

According to Variety,...

What Made Whoopi & Rosie Scream At Each Other?

December 19th, 2014 10:11am EST
The View
Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell got in to a heated debate during Thursday's episode of "The View" while discussing racism.

Guest star Laverne Cox from "Orange is the New Black" talked with the co-hosts, including Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace, about how African-Americans are profiled in stores.

Goldberg argued that the profiling was ignorance, explaining: "You need to know what real racism is. Racism is when someone comes up to you and says, 'I hope you f---king die. That's racism."

She added, "I've been black for 60 years. For me, stupidity, there are dumb folks who just say dumb ...

Rosie O'Donnell Shows Off Massive Weight Loss On 'The View'
Seven years after leaving "The View," Rosie O'Donnell returned as a co-host on Monday, surprising fans with a much slimmer body (and with bare feet!)

The TV personality once tipped the scales at 237 pounds, but after having a heart attack in 2012 she knew she had to lose some weight and become healthier. However, the weight loss process has been mentally challenging.

"I'm not used to it yet. I still buy the wrong-sized clothes," she told the audience. "A lot of people who have never had weight issues their whole life would assume that losing weight and going from morbidly obese to being a...
