Mark Indelicato Weeps Over Final 'Ugly' Scenes

April 2nd, 2010 12:00pm EDT
Mark Indelicato
Actor Mark Indelicato had to be comforted by cast mates on the New York set of Ugly Betty after breaking down as he filmed his final scenes on the show.

The star, who was just 11 years old when he landed the role of Justin Suarez on the comedy, was left devastated earlier this year when ABC TV executives announced they were axing the series. And taking to the set for the last time on Wednesday was an emotional experience for Indelicato.

In a post on his Twitter.com blog, he wrote, "Today is my last day ever as Justin Suarez. Only have been on set for an hour and already crying. Standing...

Actors Mark Indelicato and Michael Urie are struggling to bid farewell to Ugly Betty as they film their final scenes for the hit show.

The pair was left stunned when ABC executives announced in January that the sitcom's current fourth season will be its last. And as they both step on set for the last time this week, the stars admit they're still coming to terms with the sad news.

Indelicato writes on his personal Twitter.com page, "Can't believe that tomorrow is the second to last day of shooting. This rain is saying something about the end of UB (Ugly Betty). Just realized that I don't...

The "Ugly Betty" cast turned out in force to give actor Mark Indelicato the "best night" of his life at his Sweet 16 party in New York on Sunday.

Indelicato enjoyed bowling games and ate ice-cream, while the cast presented him with a special cardboard cut-out of Mode magazine - the fictional publication featured in the series.

During the night Ferrera, who plays the title role, made a toast to Indelicato, telling the...

America Ferrera Isn't Ugly, Betty

March 10th, 2010 5:00pm EST
America Ferrera
America Ferrera looked quite glamorous at the "Our Family Wedding" premiere in New York City last night in a black and silver cocktail dress with Louboutin stiletto heels.

The film centers on an interracial marriage (Ferrera and Lance Goss) and the mayhem that ensues between the two families. When the couple returns from college and too suddenly announce their marriage plans, they soon discover that their fathers (Carlos Mencia and Forest Whitaker) - two highly competitive over-the-top egos - can wreak a major amount of havoc on their special day.

Q&A With Michael Ausiello: TV Fan, Media Journalist, and Neo-Celebrity (But Don't Try To Tell Him That!)

September 30th, 2009 11:15am EDT
Michael Ausiello
Michael Ausiello, "Entertainment Weekly's" TV writer, is the "outbreak monkey" of his field. There is a new virus that is affecting the field of media journalism, and that plague is celebrity. The new neo-celebrity status of these journalists has a patient zero - the person we see as the beginning of it all - and that is Ausiello himself.

The line between celebrity and non-celebrity has blurred in the past 15 years thanks to a change in how we interpret and apply entertainment and media into our daily lives. This change has created a domino effect that has also hit the field of journ...

Are TV Remakes A Good Idea?

Looking at the CW's Tuesday line up, it's almost like getting a blast from the past: "90210" and "Melrose Place" on again? Is it the 90s? No, they're just two examples of the new television remakes blasting onto the screen, and they're not alone. "Eastwick," based on the "Witches of Eastwick" movie, premieres on September 23 on ABC, and "V" (premiering Nov. 3) is a remake of a canceled science fiction series. Now ABC has the rights to adapt "St. Elmo's Fire" from the popular film, and NBC is bringing back their detective drama from the 70s "The Rockford Files."

This is hardly a new thin...

Betty and Marc are finally looking to take their careers to the next level. Betty gets an excellent performance review from Daniel, and Marc gets an "adequate" review from Wilhelmina (which, by Willy standards, is good), but the positive reinforcement doesn't matter in either case. When Cal Hartley saved Meade Publications from financial ruin, part of the deal was that Meade would institute a hiring freeze. Consequently, Betty and Marc can't get promoted to editors at Mode, and they're majorly bummed.

As the Mode staff gathers to review spreads for the upcoming wedding issue, Wilhel...

Finally, the two gal pals meet for drinks and a round of darts (thrown at a picture of Wilhelmina's face), and Betty convinces Christina to come back to work.

But when Betty arrives at Mode the next day, there's no sign of Christina. Eve...
