Tension is high in the Spelling-McDermott household following Dean's motorcycle accident. Tori's best friend "Uncle" Mehran Farhat comes over to help Tori plan Liam's birthday party and confronts Dean about his motorcycle hobby. Liam feels under the weather and cannot attend his own birthday party. Dean decides to sell his motorcycles. Tori's friends start to plan their commitment ceremony and enlist Tori and Dean's help for the ceremony. Dean decides to buy Tori a ring while Tori hits a farmer's market and talks to a strange fan. Dean and Tori give Liam a second birthday party indoors.
Tori's second book "Mommywood" is about to launch nationwide and the family prepares for the book tour. A new white baby grand piano is delivered to the house, as Dean and Tori start a new tradition. Tori's best friend Mehran looks through a copy of the new book. Mehran and Tori discuss the pros and cons of Tori's relationship with her mother. Tori and her children do a photo shoot for "Baby Couture" magazine. Tori and her friend Jenny discuss the recent press appearances by her mother to promote her own book. Tori and the family get dolled up and attend the Los Angeles book launch. Patti Stanger the "Millionaire Matchmaker" arrives at the party and Tori tries to get her to set up one of her friends. Dean talks to his motorcycle friends, expressing some jealousy that he does not race anymore. The drama with Tori's mother boils and Tori lets out her frustration at the launch party. Now in New York, Tori appears on the "Today Show" and "The View" and radio appearances. Tori and Dean attend the New York launch party and are the star guests as a luncheon at "Us Weekly". Mehran surprises Tori at a book signing. Back in Los Angeles, Tori and Dean discuss Dean's decision to sell his motorcycles. Tori attends a fundraiser benefitting the memorial fund for her beloved deceased dog, Mimi LaRue. Tori discusses her next book project: a children's book.
Stella's birthday party is today and Dean worries about what might happen if Tori's mother Candy Spelling shows up or blows off the party. The darkening sky has party planner James worried about the threat of rain but the weather holds off for the moment. Both Stella and Dean are in a cranky mood, but the family and the guests are enjoying themselves. The local Fire Marshall shows up at the party and demands that the giant Papier-mâché mushroom be moved. After a tense discussion, Dean agrees to move it. Both Tori and Patsy are full of sentimental feelings about Tori's childhood and Patsy's impending departure. During the cake presentation, Tori comes to terms with her mother not showing up but really cannot let go of her sadness. Tori lets Stella play with the cake and they eventually have to give the baby an impromptu bath. Dean discusses the Candy Spelling problem and gives Tori the hard truth about how she should move on from the childish sentiments concerning her mother. When Dean walks away, Dean's sister comforts thoroughly upset Tori. Back at home, Tori reads an email from her mother describing "bizarre and awkward circumstances" as the justification for not attending the party. Tori and Patsy share a tender moment and Tori hopes that Patsy will be back for baby number three. Dean and Tori discuss the Candy Spelling situation and she resolves to deal with it herself, regardless of Dean's opinion. Tori makes a casserole and the family dinner she has been wishing for finally happens. Dean surprises Tori with a family vacation.

Tori takes on a recurring role on "90210" in additional to the other commitments she already has. Dean is ready to take a job in Calgary.
Faster than a Speeding Mother
Tori and the family travel to Canada where she shoots her role in "Smallville." Liam is acting out and Patty makes the decision to have the stomach surgery.
How Stella got her Gran Back ?
Tori has big plans for Stella's ladybug-themed first birthday party, specifically inviting her estranged mother. After Liam climbs out of his crib for the first time, Tori worries that he could be injured. Patsy Lemmers, Stella's baby nurse, knows that her days at the house are numbered now that Stella is a toddler. Tori expresses her sadness over Patsy leaving but assures Patsy that she will always be family. Tori has to write a parent recommendation letter for "guncles" Scout and Bill and finds it difficult to make her thoughts succinct enough for the form. Tori and Dean make the house ready for the arrival of family members and prepare for Dean's big motorcycle race. Dean faces a difficult racetrack to earn his race license but gets 8th place out of 12 participants and will receive his license. In the middle of her birthday planning, Tori hosts a fashion show for her children's clothing line. Scout and Tori discuss the party invitations and Scout agrees to deliver the invitation personally. Scout goes to Tori's mother's house with the invitation and the guard takes the box. With the fashion show only hours away, all kinds of logistical problems occur but the show turns out amazing and Tori is excited for the fall "Little Maven" line. While choosing a cake for the party, Tori gets the RSVP notice from her mother confirming. The overnight guests start arriving and Tori and Dean are filled with warmth at the presence of family in their home. On the day of the party, James coordinates everything before the rain hits and Tori reflects on how quickly Stella's first year has gone by.
Here come the Grooms
An upcoming awards show and planning Scout and Bill's commitment ceremony in Palm Springs have Tori stressed out. Tori presents the couple with options for the wedding and they love her choices. After making homemade baby food for Stella, Tori continues to go green by installing a new backyard garden with Dean's help. That night, Tori attends Bravo's "A-List Awards" and wins an award for her book. Dean rewards Tori with a spa day and Mehran and Jenny join her. Their discussion quickly turns to the lingering issue of Tori's mother and the still-unresolved issues between her and Tori. Dean finds Tori in the garage, with his motorcycle. Dean can barely believe it, but he accepts the bike back, determined to get his race license. Liam helps his "Guncles" Scout and Bill pick out their wedding cake. As they are packing for the Palm Springs trip Dean surprises Tori with a new tattoo. Arriving in the desert, Tori and her friend James check out the resort. At the rehearsal dinner, James worries about the sun/heat level at the wedding. On the day of the wedding, Dean presents Scout and Bill with man-thongs to wear under their suits, but it's Tori's attire causing problems today. After a few dress and shoe malfunctions, Tori watches her friends get married through happy tears. The reception is full of fun and dancing and Tori makes a dress change so she can groove to the music better. The morning after the wedding, Tori and Dean discuss the importance of family and Tori proposes inviting her mother to the party in honor of Stella's first birthday. Dean gives Tori his blessing.
The End of Track Days
Tori shows up in Calgary to surprise Dean. They all return home. Tori worries about her mother's book. Dean gets back to practicing racing and has a minor accident which prompts Tori to get very upset and want him to quit.
Tori Takes Manhattan
Tori travels to Manhattan to do some interviews, to talk to her publishers about her book and to go to a fashion show where her line of jewelery is used. Dean shows up on Valentine's Day to surprise her.
Hollywood Movers and Shakers
Tori and Dean settle into their new house with their two children.
Tori, May I Ride With Danger?
Tori brings the children to visit Dean on the set of his movie. Tori is disappointed that their house isn't selling. Dean goes motorcycling and Tori and Liam go to visit him.
