Rocker Nikki Sixx has confirmed Tommy Lee is no longer a member of reunited rockers Motley Crue following a showdown between the two bandmates.

Lee announced his resignation from the band earlier this year after falling out with Sixx and fellow bandmates Vince Neil and Mick Mars, after the trio joined forces to take the drummer's manager Carl Stubner to court, accusing him of persuading the rocker to choose two TV reality shows over a lucrative Motley Crue tour.

Motley Crue stars Vince Neil, Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx have filed an amended complaint against bandmate Tommy Lee's manager Carl Stubner.

The trio was told to provide more information or risk having their lost wages legal action thrown out of court.

In their initial suit, filed in June, the rockers claimed that Stubner and Lee's 2006 reality TV show, Tommy Lee Goes To College, cost them lost wages while it was being filmed and then "diminished the public's interest in Lee and their overall perception of his musical talents" when the project flopped.

Rockers Motley Crue has suffered a setback in their bid to sue drummer Tommy Lee's manager for lost wages - their legal action has been declared insufficient.

The band claims Carl Stubner's actions - when he advised Lee to shoot two reality TV series instead of join a Crue reunion tour - cost them millions and hurt their reputation.

But a judge in California has ruled that the legal papers don't support a cause of action, and he has given the bandmates 20 days to re-file the papers with additional facts.
