It's Fashion Fail Time! That means we take a break from letting you know how good all of your favorite stars look to show the other side of fashion: the fails!

I tried to keep this Fashion Fail entry free of Halloween costumes because they're supposed to be bizarre or intricate. However, Matt Lauer went too far - several steps too far. I hope you have mind bleach.

Carrying on their annual Halloween tradition, the members of "The Today Show" morning team donned various costumes during the a.m. broadcast.

Matt Lauer made a particularly entertaining entrance as Pamela Anderson from "Baywatch." He donned the show's signature red swimsuit complete with fake breasts and a platinum blonde wig. He even jumped around in slow motion for the crowd.

Lauer's co-anchors shared the television show theme by dressing up as iconic characters from programs including "The A Team," "The Flintstones" and "Laverne & Shirley."

"Today" anchor Matt Lauer almost left the morning show to join a rival show on ABC last year. His actions were spurred by rumors that Ryan Seacrest was poised to take his job.

Lauer allegedly heard the gossip "outside the security gate at the White House Christmas party because Ann Curry had forgotten her driver's license." 

As a result, Lauer though about moving to ABC to rejoin his former co-host Katie Couric and launch a brand new talk show.

His threat to leave resulted in a boosted salary - Lauer negotiated a whopping $25 million two-year contract to stay on "Today."

After months of speculation, Ryan Seacrest has officially joined the "Today" team on NBC. The "American Idol" host will join Matt Lauer and the rest of the morning team as a special correspondent, NBC said Friday.
