Oh, to be famous. The advantages of being a celebrity are copious. They get free meals and special tables at restaurants, VIP access to fancy hotel rooms and clubs, and have personal assistants to follow them around and obey their every instruction. They get clothes and gadgets sent to them "just because," and are actually taken seriously when they request things like a new toilet seat and a 12-foot boa constrictor to be in their dressing rooms before scheduled appearances.

Jessica Simpson has no regrets over her reality TV show Newlyweds: Nick And Jessica, insisting the doomed program is not to blame for her divorce from husband and co-star Nick Lachey.

The couple put their love and arguments on display for all to see when they signed up for the MTV show in 2003, which documented their life as husband and wife. The show aired for four seasons and wrapped in early 2005 - just months before the singers split.

Rock star Dave Navarro has issued a warning to celebrity couples who sign up for reality TV shows - turn down the work that comes after. The guitarist split from his wife Carmen Electra in 2006 amid reports their MTV show Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave wrecked their romance.

But Navarro insists it wasn't the series that sparked the beginning of the end of their marriage, but the work that piled up after the show.
