Shy Bobby (Randall Carver) conspires with self-assured Tony (Tony Danza) to come up with a sure-fire "line" for picking up chicks. At Mario's Restaurant, the nervous John finally gets up the gumption to approach a girl and deliver his can't-fail line: "Let's skip the preliminaries -- let's get married." The strategy works a bit too well: the next morning, John finds himself with a brand-new wife and a nonplussed set of in-laws. Ellen Regan makes her first series appearance as Suzanne.
