Master Thespian William Shatner Turns 80
Star Trek legend William Shatner is preparing to boldy go into his eighties this week - the veteran actor becomes an octogenarian on Tuesday.
After starting out as a classically-trained Shakespearean actor, Shatner swapped the theatrical stage for the bright lights of Hollywood in the late 1950s and went on to win the part that has defined his career - Captain James T. Kirk in classic sci-fi TV show Star Trek.

Heather Locklear Goes Shopping; Looks Great At 48
We spotted Heather Locklear visiting the shops at the Mailbu Country Mart over Labor Day Weekend. She looked quite sexy in a loose fitting tank top and very baggy gray trousers.
Earlier this year Heather was cleared over an alleged hit-and-run incident after officials rejected the case due to a lack of evidence.
The "Melrose Place" star was alleged to have been arrested and cited after failing to alert police about a collision with a road sign in Westlake Village, California in April.

Colin Farrell struggled to perfect his accent for his latest movie Ondine - even though he plays an Irishman.
The actor had to speak in his native brogue to play an Irish fisherman in the movie, about a man who catches a woman in his net and believes her to be a mermaid.
However, Farrell admits he was nervous about speaking in his native accent - because he's so used to acting with an American drawl.

'T.J. Hooker' Headed For The Big Screen
According to Variety.com, T.J. Hooker is being remade as a film. No actors have been cast yet.
The TV series, produced by Aaron Spelling, debuted in 1982 and ran for five seasons on ABC. William Shatner starred as police detective T.J. Hooker, who during a major crime outbreak returned to active duty, voluntarily taking the lower rank of sergeant and pounding a beat for the LCPD. Heather Locklear also starred in the cop drama.

Veteran actor William Shatner is set to add chat show host to his resume after signing up to interview celebrities for upcoming TV program "Shatner's Raw Nerve."
The former Star Trek and T.J. Hooker star will interview fellow actors and politicians on the half-hour show, to air on the Biography Channel.
Television bosses have already lined up 13 episodes of "Shatner's Raw Nerve," to air in 2008.
