Summerland follows Ava Gregory, a fashion designer from Southern California whose life changes when her sister and brother-in-law die in a car crash. Ava is left to raise her 12-year-old niece Nikki and nephews Bradin (16) and Derrick (8). With the help of her roommates Johnny, Jay, and Susanna, Ava struggles to maintain balance while she learns to take care of her newly expanded family.
