Jesse McCartney Lands TV Role
Singer/songwriter Jesse McCartney is heading back to the small screen in a new TV role.
The pop star enjoyed numerous acting stints before shooting to fame in the music industry, winning two Daytime Emmy Award nominations for his part in soap opera All My Children, while he also appeared in short-lived 2004 TV series Summerland.
His later work includes 2008 independent film Keith and a voice role in 2009's Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.
McCartney has now signed a deal to return to TV with a regular role in new series Locke & Key, which is based on the comic book of the same ...

CW Announces Schedule For 2008-09 Season
The CW Network announced a fall launch date of September 1 and unveiled the schedule for its 2008-2009 season at a presentation and party for advertisers, affiliates and national media in the Tent at Lincoln Center.
On Monday, the network will continue the successful combination of Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill. The first 12 episodes of Dawson’s Creek season one will premiere back-to-back on the N network, starting Monday, August 14, during a 12-hour marathon from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. (ET). TV mogul Aaron Spelling died yesterday after suffering a stroke. He was 83. Spelling producing over 3,000 television episodes for his hit shows including Charlie's Angles, Dynasty and Beverly Hills 90210. He had been battling with health problems since being diagnosed with oral cancer in 2001.
Despite age and illness, the legendary producer worked right up until his death and was involved in creating recent American television series 7th Heaven and Summerland.
