Matthew Perry's TV fortunes have taken a dive - the former Friends star's acclaimed new show has been axed. Bosses at NBC put Studio 60 on The Sunset Strip on hold earlier this year after the series, which also featured former West Wing star Bradley Whitford and Amanda Peet, failed to set the ratings alight when it debuted last year.

According to NBC's website, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is returning to the schedule Thursday nights at 10 p.m. starting on May 24.

Amanda Peet and her screenwriter husband David Benioff are celebrating after the actress gave birth to a baby girl. The Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip star was due to attend a Hollywood lunch event on Wednesday when she went into labor and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Paolo Nutini has announced that, due to popular demand, a number of shows on his first full-fledged tour of North America has been upscaled to larger venues. NBC's new mid-season drama The Black Donnellys will premiere on Monday, February 26 (10-11 p.m. ET) -- following the hit drama Heroes (9-10 p.m. ET). "The Black Donnellys" had previously been announced to debut on March 5. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (currently Mondays, 10-11 p.m. ET), will return to the schedule later this season on a date to be determined.
