Simm Snubs 'Life On Mars' Role

British actors John Simm and Philip Glenister have turned down the chance to star in a U.S version of their hit TV show "Life On Mars." David E. Kelley is working on an American remake of the Emmy award-winning show, which follows the experiences of a police officer who is transported back in time.

But Simms and co-star Glenister have refused to star in the remake, insisting it should remain a British show.

'Starsky & Hutch's' Paul Michael Glaser To Star In UK Peter Pan Production

TV veteran Paul Michael Glaser is set to star in an English pantomime play this Christmas as villain Captain Hook. The 64-year-old actor may be accustomed to playing good guy Starsky in the 1970s classic program Starsky and Hutch, but will change from good to bad to star in a Bromley, Kent production of Peter Pan.

Glaser is especially looking forward to joining in on the traditional British festivities this upcoming holiday season.

Actors David Soul, Jaclyn Smith and Tony Curtis have paid tribute to late TV legend Aaron Spelling, who died on Friday. The Hollywood producer, who was responsible for a host of shows including Charlie's Angels, Dynasty, Starsky & Hutch and Beverly Hills 90210, passed away in his Los Angeles home following a stroke.

Former 'Angel' Smith laments, "Aaron's contributions in television are unequalled. To me, he was a dear friend and a truly genuine human being."

Starsky And Hutch star David Soul is recording a new music album - almost 30 years since he last topped the charts. The 62-year-old actor, who has garnered critical acclaim for his performance in stage musicals in London's West End, promises to stay true to his roots.

He says, "I'll be doing new songs I've written and some folk and jazz, maybe even some blues. I won't be trying to compete with today's genre-based artists."

Soul was an accomplished folk singer/songwriter in the late 1960s, opening for the likes of The Byrds and Frank Zappa, before finding stardom as an actor.

Starsky & Hutch stars David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser are in discussions to revive the hit 1970s police show. Soul, who is currently performing in the London West End musical “Mack and Mabel,” is convinced fans would love to see the cult partners on TV screens again.
