Cult science fiction series Stargate SG-1 is on the verge of closing at the end of its current 10th season. Bosses at the Sci Fi Channel have chosen not to order further episodes of the show, the longest-running science-fiction series on TV.

Get Current Episodes of 'Stargate' on iTunes
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc.(MGM) today announced it has made current episodes of the hit science fiction/adventure series Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis available for purchase and download from the iTunes Music Store.
Effective yesterday, the first five episodes of "Stargate SG1" season 10 and the first five episodes of "Stargate Atlantis" season 3 will be available for download and subsequent episodes for both series will be available within 24 hours after airing on the SCI FI Channel.
The deal marks the first step in MGM's strategy to expand its electronic distribution...

Richard Dean Anderson Returns to 'Stargate-SG 1'
Richard Dean Anderson, former star and executive producer of Stargate SG-1, returns to the series for its historic 200th original episode. Production on the bi-centennial will commence on April 5 in Vancouver.
Anderson, who will be reprising his role as General Jack O'Neill, will also make special guest appearances in a number of additional episodes of both 'SG-1' and Stargate Atlantis that will air in the new seasons. Both of the Sci Fi Channel original series are slated to premiere this summer.

As Sci Fi’s hit original series Battlestar Galactica gears up for its season two finale on Friday, the channel begins preparations for the October 2006 premiere of the show's eagerly anticipated third season.
