This original song written by the amazing Darren Criss is the best thing you'll hear all day!
A Glee Star Wrote an Original Song for the Show: Listen to the Exclusive Song Premiere!
Darren Criss has officially made Glee history. No, it's not for the amount of hair gel he's been through or the number of bow ties he's worn playing Blaine Anderson. Criss has become the first cast member to write not one but two original songs for the show. As the series gears up for its March 20 finale after six seasons, viewers can expect to hear Criss's song "Rise" performed by members of the New Directions in this week's episode, "The Rise and Fall of Sue Sylvester." Criss wrote the song with Theo Katzman, Sam Hollander, Andrew Thielk, Eddie Montilla, and Korey Richmond. It's a big-sounding song with beautiful harmonies and a powerful message. (I can totally picture a gospel choir getting in the mix somehow.) Criss's second song, "This Time," will be performed by Lea Michele in the season finale, and if "Rise" is any indication, it's gonna be really freaking good. It's been a big few weeks for Criss, who recently announced he'll be stepping into platform shoes and extra-short jorts starring in Broadway's Hedwig and the Angry Inch starting on April 29. Sigh, those Glee kids are all so talented, amiright? Check out our exclusive premiere
