Spin City (1996-2002) centered on deputy mayor Mike Flaherty (Michael J. Fox) who protects the dimwitted mayor of New York City from making a fool of himself. After the fourth season Fox had to leave the show due to his struggle with Parkinson's Disease, and Charlie Sheen jumped onboard as deputy mayor Charlie Crawford.
