5 TV Shows For Your 'Game Of Thrones' Withdrawal
Admit it, you have Game of Thrones withdrawal. It's OK, we're not judging you here at Starpulse, mainly because we're in the same boat! We miss Game of Thrones as much as you do, and the idea of waiting for season 5 when it airs sometime around April 2015, well, is tearing us up inside. After four years of investing our time, patience, love, hate and endless fan chatter about the characters of Game of Thrones, to have them snatched away from us yet again is genuinely cruel.

However, there is hope! While you may have to wait just under a year until you get your Game of Thrones fix, there ...

Ellen Hollman Discusses Final Season Of 'Spartacus: War Of The Damned'

March 1st, 2013 2:15pm EST
Ellen Hollman
It is one thing to train for the stunts you have to do on STARZ’s Spartacus: War of the Damned. It’s probably another to deal with all the nude scenes, even if you get to do them with Gannicus.

Saxa is one of the newest series regular leads on Spartacus and she’s the show’s first female warrior. To learn more about her stunts, her relationship with Gannicus and what fans can expect in the final season, I recently spoke with Saxa’s portrayer Ellen Hollman over email.

Here’s what we discussed. Spartacus: War of the Damned airs on STARZ at 9 pm ET on Friday nights.

How did you first get c...

Spartacus: War of the Damned at the Museum of Modern Art
Last week, I attended the New York premiere of Spartacus: War of the Damned at the Museum of Modern Art.

I had an opportunity to interview some of this season’s cast, as well as a cast member of previous seasons and the executive producer, Steven S. DeKnight—to whom I may or may not have confused my love for his Buffy the Vampire Slayer scripts.

War of the Damned is the final season for the Spartacus franchise and just premiered its first episode last Friday; a new episode premieres tonight and Caesar will appear for the first time. (My thoughts on the first two episodes can be found here...

'Spartacus: War Of The Damned': War Is Here And It Is Spectacular

January 24th, 2013 10:00am EST
Spartacus: War of the Damned
Spartacus now commands an army—there’s no doubt of that in the final season of Starz’s monster hit, Spartacus: War of the Damned.

I’ve seen the first two episodes of the season and can report that the season premiere, “Enemies of Rome,” opens with a massive body and lots of dead bodies—and more blood than I think I’ve ever seen the show spill. Afterwards, we see the massive tents that house Spartacus’ army, but not everything is good within the ranks.

Spartacus meets someone who is selling horse organs for food. Who even dumps the leftovers of that on the ground for kids to fight over. As...
