5 TV Shows For Your 'Game Of Thrones' Withdrawal
Admit it, you have Game of Thrones withdrawal. It's OK, we're not judging you here at Starpulse, mainly because we're in the same boat! We miss Game of Thrones as much as you do, and the idea of waiting for season 5 when it airs sometime around April 2015, well, is tearing us up inside. After four years of investing our time, patience, love, hate and endless fan chatter about the characters of Game of Thrones, to have them snatched away from us yet again is genuinely cruel.

However, there is hope! While you may have to wait just under a year until you get your Game of Thrones fix, there ...

Andy Whitfield's Death United 'Spartacus' Cast, Who Want To 'Do Him Proud'

October 28th, 2011 5:00pm EDT
Spartacus Blood & Sand
The death of cancer-stricken actor Andy Whitfield inspired the cast and crew of "Spartacus: Vengeance" to "pull together" and "do him proud" as they filmed the second season of the gladiator series, according to his replacement Liam McIntyre.

McIntyre stepped into Whitfield's shoes earlier this year for the second season of the TV show after the "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" star was forced to quit the show to undergo treatment for cancer.

He lost his battle against non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in September and McIntyre admits everyone working on the series was devastated to hear of the Brit...

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena more than made up for its relatively tame episode the previous week with Friday's bacchanalian excesses. When Titus is away (buying slaves), the House of Batiatus will play (with slaves).

Ludus business went well enough: Syrians Ashur and Dagan finally earned their place through combat (although Ashur didn't deserve the victory), Gnaeus took up the net and trident (to fight, not fish) and Crixus made peace with Barca. To impress yet another wealthy, connected Roman who heard of the notorious Batiatus parties, the Unholy Three conspired to get Titus out of the w...

Lucy Lawless Reveals She Never Liked Being an Action Heroine

February 4th, 2011 10:40am EST
Spartacus: Gods of the Arena
This may come as a surprise to Xena fans. Lucy Lawless, who played the legendary heroine for six years, reveals she never liked being a tough girl.

“Yes, I hated it,” Lawless said. “Hated it, but I wasn’t in a position to say no. Very quickly I realized I can’t be cringing every time they come and say, ‘Lucy, would you like to go and learn your next fight?’ I haven’t even finished filming the last one and I have to go learn the next. I said, ‘You know what you guys? Instead of asking me would you like to, just say: Lucy, fight’s up.’ Then it doesn’t require a response. It just requires me ...

Friday's episode of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena delivered plenty of blood and bosoms, but like the vengeance Batiatus sought against Tullius, the good stuff wasn't served up until later.

Let's just get the pesky plot stuff out of the way first, shall we? With Gaia's help, Batiatus maneuvered Gannicus into the next tournament and got back at both Tullius and Vettius. That'll show you to beat, blackball and urinate on him. Over at the ludus, it was all about upward movement: Crixus caught Gaia's eye and proved to be semi-worthy competition against Gannicus, the Syrians got branded and Oenom...

Q&A: Lucy Lawless Dishes On Sexy 'Spartacus' Scenes, Hurt 'Xena' Fans & More

January 28th, 2011 12:00pm EST
Lucy_Lawless
It’s been nearly a decade since 41-year-old actress Lucy Lawless starred as a leather-loving heroine, but that’s ancient history. After "Xena: Warrior Princess" came to an end in 2001, the New Zealand icon continued her adventures in Hollywood, doing everything from minor television roles to showing off her singing pipes on “Celebrity Duets.”

Fortunately, Lawless has made a triumphant comeback as Lucretia in Starz’s television series, "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena." While Lawless did co-star in the previous "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" as the sinfully seductive wife of a gladiator trainer,...

January 18th, 2011 9:06am EST
Spartacus Blood and Sand
Aussie actor Liam Mcintyre has been picked to replace cancer-stricken Andy Whitfield as the new TV "Spartacus."

Whitfield was forced to quit the sequel to the hit series "Spartacus: Blood & Sand" in September after learning his non-Hodgkin's lymphoma had returned - just months after doctors gave him the all-clear in June.

TV executives initially considered calling off the show due to Whitfield's health setback, but then decided to recast the lead role of gladiator slave Spartacus.

"Prison Break" star Wentworth Miller was an early choice but now McIntyre has been announced as the new lead...

Lucy Lawless Hates Filming Sex Scenes

January 7th, 2011 8:37am EST
Lucy Lawless
Lucy Lawless recently talked about the full-frontal sex scenes in racy TV drama "Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena."

She said, "It's miserable when you have to do a sex scene. Unless you're a porn star or unless you're jacked up on something...it's impossible to do these things and feel good about it... but you are wearing a merkin...It's a pubic wig and somebody sits there and handknits, like, these little wigs, a hair bikini."

Lucy insists her husband has no problems with her full frontal nudity and explicit sex scenes because he's a producer of the show. She appears completely naked in man...

Lucy Lawless' Husband Encourages Her Racy 'Spartacus' Scenes

Lucy Lawless
TV star Lucy Lawless insists her husband has no problems with her full frontal nudity and explicit sex scenes in racy drama Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena (The six-episode prequel to Spartacus: Blood and Sand) - because he's a producer of the show.

The former Xena: Warrior Princess star appears completely naked in many scenes as Roman socialite Lucretia, but her husband Robert Tapert just cheers her on.

She admits he even encourages her to disrobe and get on with it - rather than complain about her modesty.

Lawless tells Access Hollywood Live, "He's a funny guy... He just says, 'This is a ...
