Aussie Actor Liam McIntyre To Replace Andy Whitfield In 'Spartacus'
Aussie actor Liam Mcintyre has been picked to replace cancer-stricken Andy Whitfield as the new TV "Spartacus."
Whitfield was forced to quit the sequel to the hit series "Spartacus: Blood & Sand" in September after learning his non-Hodgkin's lymphoma had returned - just months after doctors gave him the all-clear in June.
TV executives initially considered calling off the show due to Whitfield's health setback, but then decided to recast the lead role of gladiator slave Spartacus.

Lucy Lawless Hates Filming Sex Scenes
Lucy Lawless recently talked about the full-frontal sex scenes in racy TV drama "Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena."
She said, "It's miserable when you have to do a sex scene. Unless you're a porn star or unless you're jacked up on something...it's impossible to do these things and feel good about it... but you are wearing a merkin...It's a pubic wig and somebody sits there and handknits, like, these little wigs, a hair bikini."
Lucy insists her husband has no problems with her full frontal nudity and explicit sex scenes because he's a producer of the show. She appears completely naked in man...

Lucy Lawless' Husband Encourages Her Racy 'Spartacus' Scenes
TV star Lucy Lawless insists her husband has no problems with her full frontal nudity and explicit sex scenes in racy drama Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena (The six-episode prequel to Spartacus: Blood and Sand) - because he's a producer of the show.
The former Xena: Warrior Princess star appears completely naked in many scenes as Roman socialite Lucretia, but her husband Robert Tapert just cheers her on.
She admits he even encourages her to disrobe and get on with it - rather than complain about her modesty.
Lawless tells Access Hollywood Live, "He's a funny guy... He just says, 'This is a ...

Starz May Replace Andy Whitfield In 'Spartacus' As He Undergoes Cancer Treatment
Starz is exploring its option to recast the lead role in "Spartacus."
With star Andy Whitfield unexpectedly having to resume treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma, sources say the network has begun talks with casting directors about possibly finding another actor to take over the show, THR's Live Feed reports.
Though the actor would most likely play Spartacus, another, much less likely, possibility involves re-shaping the series around a new central character. If no suitable candidate is found, Starz and producers may opt to delay or cancel production

But Lawless admits she over-indulged during a recent European vacation, and now she's looking for ways to lose the weight fast.

New Zealanders Won't See Lucy Lawless Naked
Fans of voluptuous Lucy Lawless in the actress' native New Zealand have yet to see the star in all her glory because naked scenes in her hit TV epic "Spartacus: Blood & Sand" were censored in her homeland.
The "Xena: Warrior Princess" star stripped off for her first full-frontal scenes in the gritty ancient Rome saga, in which she played sex-loving high society schemer Lucretia.
But fans back home in New Zealand never got the chance to see their favorite daughter naked.
She says, "There's a PG version (in New Zealand)."

John Hannah and Lucy Lawless have been brought back from the dead for a prequel to hit cable series "Spartacus: Blood And Sand."
