Just in time for this week's release of the second film in Peter Jackson "Hobbit" trilogy, The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug, Comedy Central's hit animated series South Park poked fun at Kanye West and Kim Kardashian during it's season finale episode Wednesday night.

What does that have to do with hobbits, you ask? Well, according to at least one kid in South Park, Kim Kardashian is a hobbit.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are accustomed to finishing South Park at the last minute, but they have never missed a deadline until a power outage struck their studios Tuesday and forced them to delay an episode for the first time in 13 years.

As it has been documented several times, including the special "South Park: 6 Days to Air," series creators Parker and Stone generally come up with the idea for a show, animate and voice it, then send it to Comedy Central all within six days.

South Park creator Trey Parker is set to become a first-time father.

The comedy writer has been dating his partner Boogie Tillmon for several years, and they live with her 11-year-old son from a previous relationship.

They are now set to welcome a new addition to the household as Tillmon is expecting the couple's first child together.

South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are launching their own production company.

The comedy duo has formed Important Studios for future TV and film projects, including a possible big-screen adaptation of their hit Broadway musical, "The Book Of Mormon."

'South Park' Sued For Copyright Infringement Over 'Imaginationland' Episodes

South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have been hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit over the use of a character in a 2007 episode of the animated show.

Exavier Wardlaw has filed suit against the pair for including a character called The Lollipop King in a three-part Emmy-winning installment, titled Imaginationland.

In the documents filed in federal court in Pennsylvania, Wardlaw's lawyers claim the character is a rip-off of his own creation, the Big Bad Lollipop from a show he came up with called The Lollipop Forest.

A Muslim convert who threatened the lives of the creators of comedy cartoon series South Park has been sentenced to serve more than 11 years behind bars.

Jesse Curtis Morton, who co-founded the now-defunct Revolution Muslim website, took aim at Trey Parker and Matt Stone after the TV comedy writers created an episode in which the prophet Muhammad was depicted as a man in a bear suit.

Morton's business partner and fellow Muslim convert, Zachary Chesser, received a 25-year sentence in February after he was found guilty of terrorist activity against the U.S. in Somalia.

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone's smash-hit Broadway show Book Of Mormon is now breaking album chart records in America.

After dominating the Tony Awards on Sunday, the musical's soundtrack has shot to number three on the Billboard 200 countdown, making it the highest charting Broadway cast album ever.

With 61,000 sales for the week, the album also scores the biggest sales week for a cast release since the new chart was introduced in 1991.
