Tony tries to make peace with the Leotardos. He also worries that Carlo may have flipped. Paulie takes over for Carlo. Junior's dementia gets worse. AJ tells his family he wants to join the Army, but is soon swayed by his parents to be a development executive on a movie instead. Meadow makes a decision about her career - she wants to protect immigrant rights.
As acting Boss Silvio has to divide up the loot from Paulie's Columbian heist; Tony's shrink helps Carmella through some difficult times; Tony takes a turn for worst and Christopher starts a business endeavor with a screen writer that is indebted to him.
Tony must ponder an associate's request to retire while dealing with Junior's increasing dementia; Hesh seeks restititution when his son-in-law is hurt because of a misunderstanding with some of Johnny Sack's associates.
Kennedy And Heidi
Phil learns that Tony's been dumping asbestos and wants in on the action or the dumping stops. Tony and Christopher debate about what to do and as Christopher's driving becomes erratic, Tony realizes that Christopher is high. When they crash, Christopher tells Tony he won't pass a drug test. Tony suffocates him. Tony has a hard time dealing with the fact that he is relieved that Christopher is dead. Paulie's mother had a stroke and her wake is scheduled for the same day as Christopher's. Carmella makes Tony leave Christopher's wake to go pay his respects at Paulie's mother's wake and they find Paulie alone and upset that no one is at the wake because they are all at Christopher's. AJ is doing better; he thinks the medication is working. Tony goes to Vegas to try to escape his problems.
Tony and Carmella find out that AJ was fired from blockbuster for selling promotional items on the side. Carmela and Roe go on a much needed vacation to Paris where Carmela has dreams about Adriana. Vito sneaks back into town and tracks Tony down; he begs to be let back in asking to be set up in Atlantic City running girls, telling Tony he's not gay that it was his blood pressure medicine. Later Vito meets with his wife and kids, he tells the kids that he's a spy and makes them promise not to tell anyone. His wife asks him is he going to get counseling for his homosexuality, he denies it. Tony talks to Silvio he agrees that Vito has to go, when Vito calls Tony to ask if he decided about Atlantic City, Tony tells him to meet him at a Hotel, instead of Tony meeting him there, he sends Phil to take care of Vito.
The Fleshy Part of the Thigh
Recovering before his final surgery to close up his wound, Tony complains to the nurse about not being able to focus, she assures him that it's normal. The future of Barone Sanitation is still in question while Tony and Johnny Sack work out the details.
Join the Club
Tony lies in a coma with friends in family around him, his brain still active, he dreams he's on a business trip where he suffers from a case of mistaken identity.
Vito is still missing but Tony calls off the search and lets Christopher go to Los Angeles with reservations, Little Carmine and Christopher explore a new project while in LA which turns out not what he expected; Artie's restaurant suffers, on top of losing business he's being investigated for a credit card scam only to find out it was an inside job with an outside connection- close to home.
Live Free or Die
The news gets out about Vito's secret life, Christopher runs into an acquaintance at an AA meeting that tells him that Vito was seen at a gay bar. The news is a shock to Tony and the rest of the guys but Tony warns not jump to any conclusions, Tony and Silvio go looking for Vito to find out what this is all about.
Soprano Home Movies
After Tony is arrested because some kid caught with a gun claimed he saw Tony toss it, Tony and Carmela go to the Adirondacks for a weekend with Bobby and Janice. Janice tells Carmela all about her new found peace with herself. Bobby and Tony get into a fight. Meanwhile, Phil Leotardo comes home from the hospital. Back at the Soprano house, AJ hosts a pool party.
Tony loses money playing roulette. Vito Jr. is causing problems and his mother, Marie can't control him. She comes to Tony for money so she can relocate her family, but Tony thinks Phil should help instead. Tony asks Phil to help Vito Jr. and Phil agrees. Melfi talks to Tony about him missing appointments and wants to know why he doesn't stop gambling when he's losing so much money. Carmela worries about the sub-code materials used in the house she is trying to sell. Phil and Tony both pay Vito Jr. a visit trying to straighten him out. AJ proposes to Blanca. Tony wants Carmela to bet some of her money on the Jets and they fight when she refuses. Tony tells Marie to send Vito to a tough love camp. Blanca returns the engagement ring. Tony apologizes to Carmela and admits that he's on a losing streak.
The Second Coming
Tony returns from Vegas with a diamond watch for Carmela. AJ is still trying to deal with his depression and the medication isn't helping. Tony talks to the FBI again; he helps them identify some men in a picture. Meadow tries to help AJ and learns that he's dropped out of school. Tony and Phil continue having problems making a deal regarding the asbestos. Tony comes home in time to rescue AJ from a suicide attempt and takes him to an institution. Dr. Melfi tries to help Tony to see how he can help AJ. Meadow is harassed while out on a date leading her to tell her family about her new boyfriend as well as her decision not to go to med school. Tony and Carmela go to a therapy session with AJ.
Johnny Sack finds out that he has stage four lung cancer, and breaks the news to Ginny and Allegra. Things are tense between AJ and Blanca. The feds are hanging around outside the Soprano home. Tony and Carmela go to the screening of "Cleaver." Chris talks with his sponsor. In therapy, Tony is upset that Christopher hates him after all he's done for him. Christopher and Kelli's baby is christened.
The Blue Comet
The allegiance of those closest to Tony is put to the test. And a case of mistaken identity has serious ramifications.
Carlo throws Dom's severed head down a sewer drain and calls Silvio to report: Tony closes the deal to sell to Caputo Live Poultry and apologizes to Julianna for not mixing business with pleasure when they met last, but admits he can't get her out of his head. He asks her to dinner but she declines. Carmela learns Liz LaCerva tried to commit suicide. Now Carmela can't get Adriana out of her head-the Paris dream, now this.
At an annual street fair that Paulie's in charge of a ride breaks down injuring a family including children as a result of Paulie cutting cost. Paulie also cuts cost when the new priest, Father Hose tries to negotiate a higher fee for the parish; Paulie refuses so Father Hose refuses to let them use the Saint's gold hat, a traditional part of the garb. Christopher's new girlfriend, Kelli, tells him she's pregnant, to her surprise he proposes to her. Chris shows up at the Bing wearing a wedding band and announces his plans to the guys, congratulations all around. On the way back from PA, Christopher and Tony get lost, stopping at what appears to be a deserted parking lot to "take a leak" they discover some bikers robbing crates of wine from a liquor store. Seizing the opportunity Tony and Chris rob the bikers and escape a shoot out with the loot. They stop at a restaurant to celebrate and sample a bottle but Chris declines because of his addiction, Tony assures him it's okay, to have discipline. The two of then get wasted and Christopher breaks down reminiscing about Adriana. Meanwhile back at the festival Carm spots Ade's mother, Liz, working a booth looking un-kept and dejected. Liz lets Carm know that she thinks her nephew Christopher is responsible for her daughter's disappearance, Carm accuses her of being drunk, she indubitably lets her know that she's not drunk she's depressed.
Paulie tells Tony that the Feds are digging near Branford Ave., where Tony killed Willie Overall. Tony decides to take a trip to make sure the Feds don't find anything. Carmella isn't happy when Tony tells her he's going out of town. Uncle Jr. tries to get his friends to find a way to get him out of the Therapeutic Center, but when they do, he doesn't want to go--he's having too much fun with his new friends. Paulie and Tony reminisce about the past as they drive. Silvio calls Tony to tell him that the Feds found a body. Jr. gets into a fight with Professor Lynch. causing the doctors to increase his meds. Jr. tries to avoid taking his meds, but is given an ultimatum--take the meds or be transferred to another facility. Tony finds out Paulie's been telling people too much; he tells Beansie that he is worried about Paulie's talking. Silvio calls Tony again to tell him that Larry told the Feds it was Jackie Aprile who killed Willie so Tony's off the hook. Tony then goes out on a boat with Paulie and thinks about knocking him off.
Mr. & Mrs. John Sacrimoni Request
Johnny Sack asks for a temporary release from custody to attend his daughter's Allegra wedding. Escorted by US Marshalls he is granted six hours but has to pay the cost of the extra security.
Moe n' Joe
Preparing to go to trial, Johnny Sack learns the feds have totaled his net worth for asset forfeiture, finding every last mutual fund. Janice pleads with Tony to make Bobby a captain. Meanwhile Vito and Jim take their relationship to the next level, Jim confronts him about his sports writer gig, Vito comes clean about leaving his wife, kids and a "contracting business" in Jersey. "You can't tell anyone, ever." Vito pleads, Jim concedes, he gets Vito a handyman job and they move in together.
Walk Like A Man
AJ is upset about his breakup with Blanca. Christopher is upset when Paulie sends a couple men over to move some equipment without telling him. When Christopher comes to Tony, Tony tells him it's his fault. Tony gives the feds the name and cell number of some Arabs that used to hang around. He decides to quit therapy, but then get upset over the fact that AJ seems suicidal. Christopher tries to take Tony's advice about being more social and hosts a barbecue. AJ goes to therapy and gets some anti-depressants. Then he goes out to a strip club with some of the kids of Tony's friends. Christopher gets upset and throws Little Paulie out a window after he finds out that they lifted more tools from the store. They then tear up Christopher's lawn in retaliation. Tony says he'll have a talk with Paulie. Christopher gets drunk and goes to spill mob secrets to JT, but when JT won't listen he kills him. Meanwhile, AJ beats and tortures a kid in the woods with his new friends.
Vito still hiding out in New Hampshire getting closer to the owner of the local diner, Jim, Vito orders the special again "Johnny Cakes". To supplement his pay from his job at Block Buster A.J sells his drums, A.J obviously more interested in hanging out at clubs in NYC with high school friend, Hernan, who brags to everyone who A.J's father is; Tony gets an offer to sell the pork store by real estate agent Julia Skiff, he's interest in the offer but doesn't like the price, later when Julia tracks Tony down at the Bada Bing to make a second offer Tony makes his own offer.
