'So You Think You Can Dance' Alum Lauren Gottlieb Heads to Bollywood

January 24th, 2013 9:00am EST
Lauren Gottlieb
"It's the craziest thing," said So You Think You Can Dance alum Lauren Gottlieb of landing the lead role in the Bollywood dance film ABCD. Rather than go through a lengthy audition process, she was surprised to find an email via her website from the movie's director, who was a fan of her work and wanted her for his project. "He had watched me when I was on So You Think You Can Dance, back when I was competing on it, and he was telling people, 'One day I'm going to bring her to India,'" she explained. "I just couldn't believe it."

Taking on a starring role in a foreign film was a totally ne...

"My father took me to New York City when I was four. We saw Broadway shows and one of them was Cats, and that was it," said Spencer Liff of his introduction to the performing arts. From that moment on, he explained, his career choice "was never a question. Nothing else interested me. 'American Idol' Goes Out On Top, 'SYCTYD' Barely Registers

May 31st, 2012 9:33am EDT
'So You Think You Can Dance'
‘American Idol’ went out on top in the ratings in its final week, but final numbers were well below last year. The results show drew 21.5 million viewers – well above Tuesday’s performance show (not quite 15 million) but more than 20 percent below last year.

Comparatively, FOX’s ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ may have reason to be worried. Already cut to one night a week, Thursday’s edition didn’t even place in the Top 20. With less competition this week and ‘American Idol’’s old time slot, we’ll see if the numbers inch upward this week.

‘Dancing With the Stars’ ended well too – the week’s ...

Lady Gaga Adds To A Great Night ON 'So You Think You Can Dance'
There were so many great things to say about the Lady Gaga guest hosted episode of “So You Think You Can Dance,” that the megastar’s warm presence was simply the icing on an already delicious cake. Nonetheless, major props to the pop icon for actually recognizing that and being comfortable enough in her two foot-plus high heels to (for the most part) cede the spotlight and celebrate the show’s contestants as the stars of the night.

Who Aced The 2010-11 TV Season? (Hint: It's Not NBC)

June 4th, 2011 3:30pm EDT
The Voice
The 2010-2011 TV season is officially over. The ratings are in. If there is one surprise, it’s that last year’s top five shows were all up in viewers this year. With hefty viewer erosion in recent years, that’s nothing short of a miracle.

Most other veteran shows, however, saw a drop-off in viewers. There are some exceptions, however, such as ‘Modern Family,’ which saw very healthy ratings in its second year, particularly in the 18-49 demo.

The stats didn’t change much from last year. CBS won the season in total viewers with 11.6 million. It’s the eighth time in nine years the netwo...

As much as we were anticipating the return of Mad Men this summer only to be disappointed by the news that the premiere is delayed until 2012, we found a few m...

Don’t forget to tune in on Monday and Tuesday as well, as those episodes will feature special guests, includi...

So you think Ellen DeGeneres can dance? She sure can! Check her out doing a hip-hop routine on last year's So You Think You Can Dance finale to Lil Jon's (featuring LMFAO) "Outta Your Mind."

Before Ellen went on to become a judge on American Idol in 2010, she appeared as a guest...
