A conservative parents group has taken aim James Van Der Beek's new sitcom Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23, branding the show a "new all-time low for television."

The series, which debuted in the on April 11th, has come under fire from members of the Parents Television Council (PTC) who are outraged by its "offensive content."

Controversial TV drama Skins has been canceled in the U.S.

MTV bosses came under fire from TV viewers and decency watchdogs when they revamped the hit British series for American audiences and debuted it in January.

Officials at the Parents Television Council called the show "dangerous television for children" and called for an official investigation to make sure producers weren't guilty of breaking laws.

A number of high profile advertisers pulled their promos over the fuss, but MTV bosses insisted they would stand by the show, which featured sex and drug-taking scenes.

Actress Denise Richards has taken aim at MTV bosses over the U.S. adaptation of British TV hit Skins, branding the show's saucy content "disgusting".

The new series, which premiered in America last week, features controversial story lines involving sex and drugs, as well as foul language and nudity. MTV bosses behind the U.S. adaptation of British TV hit Skins have defended the show's saucy content in the wake of a complaint from a campaign group and the loss of a major advertiser.

The new series, which premiered in America on Monday, features controversial storylines involving sex and drugs, as well as foul language and nudity.

Officials at a leading U.S. family organisation have urged federal agents to investigate reports suggesting a controversial new MTV series features underage actors and actresses in sex scenes.
