Too Real?: 'The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills' React To Tragedy
When watching guilty-pleasure reality shows, like one of Bravo’s many installments of The Real Housewives, one expects to find the relatable truth in the mundane and wildly absurd—a housewife attempting to gracefully mount a camel “Sex And The City 2” style in designer duds; a deliciously inappropriate cat-fight at a charity event; wives eagerly trying to steal the spotlight from another. Such “reality” is coveted and probably even manufactured by producers and stars, who understand that drama and hilarity equals airtime and fame.
No one could anticipate the tragedy that rocked the Bravo...

Who Aced The 2010-11 TV Season? (Hint: It's Not NBC)
The 2010-2011 TV season is officially over. The ratings are in. If there is one surprise, it’s that last year’s top five shows were all up in viewers this year. With hefty viewer erosion in recent years, that’s nothing short of a miracle.
Most other veteran shows, however, saw a drop-off in viewers. There are some exceptions, however, such as ‘Modern Family,’ which saw very healthy ratings in its second year, particularly in the 18-49 demo.
The stats didn’t change much from last year. CBS won the season in total viewers with 11.6 million. It’s the eighth time in nine years the netwo...

The Best And Worst Of TV 2010
The TV year was filled with ups and downs. Dramas contributed to what some call another “golden age of television.” Some comedies were excellent, while others were repellent. But there are a few sure things: the sitcom is on the upswing, reality is (probably) on the decline, and Conan O’Brien is really, really rich.
The Top 10, in descending order:
10. ‘Project Runway’ – This season sparked emotional highs thanks to Mondo, whose talent and grace (not to mention his poignant HIV background) propelled the show to new heights. But we were also witness to Gretchen, Poison Ivy and Michael ...

Fall TV: What's Surviving, What's Thriving, And What's Dying
We've reached a breaking point in the Fall TV season: almost everything that's still around will likely survive the season (key word: almost). It's becoming clearer which new shows are hits (hint: not many), and there are already several casualties. Let's run down the list.
The already renewed
CBS has picked up all five of their new shows: 'Hawaii Five-O,' 'Mike & Molly,' '@#$% My Dad Says,' 'Blue Bloods' and 'The Defenders.' Each show has performed admirably, but none can be called a runaway hit. CBS, though, has the least holes in its schedule and can be proud that viewership is up ...

CBS Fall 2010 Line-Up: What And When To Watch
Presenting Starpulse's quick-and-dirty guide to this fall's new CBS programming.
First, the new:
Mike & Molly, Mon. Sept. 20, 9:30/8:30 CST -- America's obesity epidemic has left a lot us a bit fluffier, and "Mike & Molly" might be CBS's attempt to deliver a show we can relate to. Unfortunately, that seems to be the extent of the humor -- being fluffy. The main characters, played by Billy Gardell ("Yes, Dear") and Melissa McCarthy ("Gilmore Girls"), meet at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting, fall for each other, and deal with the modern-day problems overweight couples face. Time will tel...

When Does Your Favorite TV Show Return?
There are a lot of TV shows returning and premering in the fall. Start making room on your DVR now because there are many can't-miss series on the boob tube.
I spent hours last weekend clearing out tons of space on my DVR. I know it can be a chore, but it's so refreshing afterwards! (Did that sound like a body wash commercial to anyone else?)
Check out the list for your favorite shows, mark your calendars and get ready for a long winter with some great TV.
Shows marked with an asterisk (*) are new and all times are ET/PT.

William Shatner Upset Over Sitcom Title Controversy
William Shatner is frustrated by the furor surrounding the risque title of his new sitcom $#*! My Dad Says, because he's always used the expletive around his kids.
Members of the Parents Television Council (PTC) have urged more than 340 companies to boycott the show by refusing to advertise during its broadcast, arguing that the title is indecent.
However the Star Trek legend, who plays the cantankerous father of the title, can't understand the fuss over bad language and admits he frequently uses the curse word.
He tells the Associated Press, "Do you know what I wish? I wish they woul...

New William Shatner Show Under Fire From Parents Group
William Shatner's new show, "$#*! My Dad Says," has come under fire from the leaders of a parenting group in America, who are urging advertisers to pull their support of the series.
Officials at the Parents Television Council are angry about the CBS show's name and are attempting to boycott the upcoming program by contacting 300 advertisers in a bid to dissuade them from promoting during ad breaks.
PTC president Tim Winter tells The Hollywood Reporter, "The Second Edition of the 20-volume Oxford English Dictionary contains full entries for 171,476 words in current use; yet CBS decided to ...

William Shatner 'Stunned & Excited' With Live Audience And Technology While Taping ' $#*! My Dad Says'
William Shatner stars in the first show ever spun off from a Twitter feed. $#*! My Dad Says (called Shit My Dad Says), is based on Justin Halpern’s posts about his father’s witticisms. Shatner plays the Dad in the new sitcom. This is beyond Star Trek. The crew of the Enterprise wouldn’t even believe how far technology and entertainment have come.
“I started in live television,” Shatner said. “I was there when the cameras were as big as this table had internal fans that were whirring because of the heat of the tubes and had to come as close as this for a close up. Now we’re talking about g...
